Georgian Green looking grayish...help!
Comments (28)Stinky-Gardener...I like to use the green as a neutral because it goes with everything IMO. I have dark floors and mostly dark wood in this house. But the green goes great with all the woods and colors of the spectrum. I think it looks great with plum/purples...red/corals/pinks...yellow/gold...(not that I recommend using all that in the same place, LOL). I feel like I am not locked in with this color if that makes sense. I am hoping it is versatile enough to bring all my hodge podge together. That is why I joined this board..I have a lot of work to do and you will see me asking nine million questions. Saramakes6...As far as Guilford Green being cheerier than Georgian. I painted one of my bedrooms Guilford Green and I ended up changing it. It kept going too "minty" for me. No, I would not consider it cheerful....See MoreI HATE my Pebble Tec / Pebble Sheen pool
Comments (34)Update: Holes in the spa are looking much better. Service guy came out today and worked on them again. I think the end result when finished will be great. My concern would be will the fix chip off later since it is not the original finish. Steps are so much better. First, because I started buffing them MYSELF today with the buffing pad they left my husband the first day my pool was supposed to be "buffed" as advertised. Anyway, the installer came out today and started "buffing" them more...they needed it. There is a huge difference between a buffed area and a non-buffed area in your pool even if the installer of PT tries to tell you it is smooth enough. The steps are a slightly different color because they were redone. The only thing that I am not sure how to fix is the deep end....the finish there looked amazing the first time. After they drained the pool to redo the steps, and the pool is now filled up and balanced, the deep end looks splotchy. I repeatedly raised concerns about them leaving crappy, non-chemically balanced, stagnant water sitting in the deep end and in the spa in the hot sun for 2 days while they worked to correct the steps. I was told not to worry...well now I am very worried. We were told today to let the pool cure....I don't buy that BS....the deep end looked perfect after the initial fill and through 3 days of meticulously brushing and keeping the chems balanced. They let the spa sit stagnant and partially drained my pool. All kinds of crap was sitting in that nasty water....See MoreI hate my new cabinets - help with counters
Comments (25)I do love colored cabinets. Sorry you're not getting what you want. I wanted white too, but we are just too dirty around here. What I wanted to say is that if I'm not mistaken, svelte sage is the closest match to Farrow and ball's French gray. There is a kitchen that all of us love with a french gray island. This is one of my favorite kitchens ever and if there is even a remote chance that yours looks similar. I think you'll be very happy! They used wood (not sure if you're interested in that) and it looks beautiful. That thick wood top is sooo pretty! Actually, the other wood doors are very similar in color to the ones you picked out with a golden something or other granite on the tops. I think that marble would be gorgeous if you can handle the pressure if it. :) There are some quartz tops that look very similar. You might try that. I'm not sure if I'd do soapstone (though would be pretty too) if you're worried about darkness in the kitchen. Try not to worry too much. I know the whole process isn't the greatest. But, the decisions you've made are very pretty and classic to your home. It will be stunning when it's done!
