Something I have noticed lately...

I have been busy, so I haven't visited very often lately. And I certainly haven't written much. But I recently noticed something. Thought I'd share.

I have noticed that when I am at home, and things don't feel right for some reason, whenever I'm feeling frustrated or stressed out, instead of resorting to one of my procrastination behaviors, I have been decluttering and putting things away and generally straightening up. I just look at whatever is in front of me and pick something small and get to work. After a little while, I feel better. I think that means I am getting to the source of whatever discomfort I have been feeling. Cleaning up offers almost immediate relief from the vague, negative feelings.

It seems so easy. I don't have to force myself to do it! I think FlyLady would be proud. I think it is becoming a regular habit. My emotion of dissatisfaction turns into the action of changing my surroundings to be more harmonious.
