You could do some type of wardrobe/armoire there. I don’t think you have to match the closet; but you could do something in white, if you want to blend in. Or white with wood details might be nice, too. Alternatively, a piece in the same color as your walls would recede - depends on what color you are planning to paint the walls.

I would just extend the closet if possible . If not doable then a bookcase for storgae is always needed in an office.I see alot of stuff on that desk so storgae is a must add it there in the niche

if you need storage, take the measurement to your local home improvement store and ask the cabinet dept. to design a unit, upper doors and lower drawers. or at least get an estimate on what it would cost. it's a free service

Have a contractor put up shelves(white). Ensure that the distance between each is sufficient. You can put the stuff currently on the floor on the bottom shelf.

You can also put up a few shelves and put a white storage cabinet beneath them.

Mini desk/computer area.

What kind of storage do you need? That determines the best use of the space. Since it is an office, perhaps 2-drawer file cabinets would be useful, with either open shelving or a cabinet above. Because it's a dark corner, I wouldn't use it for display, so I'd be inclined to install an upper cabinet
