Hi, if it were me, I would move the picture that is hanging next to the mirror, two of the same size/shape doesn't work very well. It looks as tho you have a rose theme going on, maybe try a swag or a wreath. Something that is totally different than the mirror.

Is the wall color a soft pink? I think a meduim tone green would look good w/ the pink and white in the tile. Or perhaps match the dark pink in the tile and leave the mirror white. Add some more of the darker pink in accents like towels, rug etc. The colors you have that you aren't changing (tile) can/should be worked in to give it more of a planned look. Go bold, it's a small room and it can afford bold.

I don't usually give advice on these forums because I feel I tend to belong to the decoratingly challenged. But I have to say, what a nice powder room! Honestly I don't think I would change a thing! Oh, and I love your tile.

I think wallpaper, even in a stripe, would be pretty busy in a small room where you already have a patterned tile. If I had to change anything, I might change out the towels and rug to a complementary green.

I would do a soft peach to enhance the complexion. Green in a bathroom is not flattering to the skin for many people.

My first thought was to take the dark shade in the tile (dark rose? dark red?) and put it into the upper wall to pull the space together.

Also buy doing this it will show off your beautiful wood work on your mirror which is pretty hidden right now due to lack of contrast.

I think it's a pretty room the way it is! I like the tile. A deeper wall color would look good. How about a nice looking dispenser for the soap rather then that green bottle with writing on it? That is the only really off note in the room to me.

A maroon to match the color of the tile will add a nice richness to the space. I'd keep the picture, but move it down a bit to balance the cabinet.

I really like your tile! I agree that wallpaper might be too much with it, and that the picture seems too large. I think you just need paint. Maybe a medium dusky rose? I wouldn't go too dark, that might be too much contrast with the tile.

A rich green would be a nice choice, but have you considered black?

I could see the walls and ceiling in a rich black, which would make the art, medicine cabinet and candles stand out more. With all the white tile, the black would be elegant without being overwhelming.

An floral patterned rug on the floor and you would be set. Keep the current towels, art, etc.

I would move the magazine basket to the side wall closer to the toilet. I might also change it out for a gold fillagree basket or magazine rack of some kind - the basket seems too casual and rustic.

I would also think about getting some florentine gold craft paint or Rub 'n' Buff to add some gold highlights on the fluting and decorative arch on the medicine cabinet to dress it up a bit.

Can't tell what your lighting source looks like, but think about a small, crystal and gold chandy in there :

How about this rug from JCP, in a rectangle in the black colorway? It is washable, which is great for a powder room, and seems to have the roses and the rose and burgundy color that would work with the tile:

I think dark walls/ceiling with the tile and the details you all ready have will be great to turn this into a gem of a powder room! My first thought was a very dark color from the painting and play up the details in the fabulous medicine cabinet, is that original?. LOVE the top and your tassel and elegant touches!

I'm decorating challenged too, but I do know this. The tile has GOT to stay! Both on the floor and the wall. How old is the tile, do you know? Just love it!

I think a light colored seafoam green would set off the pretty trim of your medicine cabinet and also make a nice background for your rose theme. Your bathroom would look amazing with wallpaper. Couldn't you just "surprise" your hubby some day?

Count me in as someone who loves your tile! Although I do like the new bathrooms featuring travertine and marble I don't everyone should jump on that bandwagon. Too many people rip out the nicely done old tile. If it is not damaged I would definitly keep it. Your little powder room has lots of character.

I think your tile is wonderful and I can't see adding a baseboard to it. My vote is for a color near the accent tile so your pretty medicine cabinet stands out. Do you have anything on the wall over the commode? If not I'd move your rose painting over it so it isn't in competition with your medicine cabinet. The rug Les suggested would be very pretty and a glitzy light fixture would be the "icing on the cake". Let us know what you decide and show pictures of it.

I think a toile or damask wallpaper in the rosy pink color of the tile would be beautiful. I love the candle sconce. It is so unusual!

I second what artlover said. I found this on wallpaper on ebay, I used a similar one in black and white in my powder room.
