Those would do well nearby each other. The backless are more casual and the ladderbacks are more complicated and yet they have the same foundation. My vote is "yes".

I think they work together. My only thought is that if people might be sitting on the stools for more that a short time, a stool with a back would be much more comfortable. If the stools rarely get used, then those would be fine.

my only concern is that the rushing seems to be quite different in color and i think that would bug me....with the chairs and stools both being rush, i would want them to match better...i didn't see your previous thread, but i almost think an entirely wood stool, which echoed the lines/style of your chair might be the easier way to go.

I think they'd go well together, but I agree with busybee, I'd be inclined to look for a solid wood stool, like the one linked below. Ballard Designs has some great stools. If you get the rush ones, I think cushions on either the chairs or the stools would make them look different from each other.

I know I told you on your previous thread, but I love those chairs. They'll look beautiful.
