Hang in there. I know it's a lot for you to handle and hope you have lots of people around you to help. Try to take some time for yourself just to get away from thinking about it all the time, if nothing else. Lunch with a friend maybe?

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.Jim had the ultra-sound on his leg and it was not good news. There is more blockage in his right leg and now some on the left.The Dr. said that since he was on blood thinner he is not in danger, just painful and he wants to wait until we find out about everything else.We will be going to Moffitt tomorrow and discuss everything with them. Lisa, we thought about Mayo, but Moffitt is affiliated with Space Coast Cancer Center and if the two doctors come up with a plan we will be able to keep having his treatments here. If we are unsure we may go to Mayo. Thank you all again.

I'm so sorry things have gotten even tougher for you both, Sandi. I haven't forgotten you and have been praying for you both--will continue to do so.

Patti -- I know you mean well, but Cancer Centers of America is a very questionable operation. They cherry-pick patients. Their own ads say that you cannot expect the same outcomes as the people they feature having 'helped'. Forbes magazine published a very critical article on this 'for profit medicine' in December 2012.

Sandi and Jim are proceeding wisely in seeking a second opinion. However, it may not differ from the first. I'll echo Monica in hoping they will find the strength they need, day by day.
