Needing help from the KT Warriors

Jim had his 4th Chemo treatment today and tomorrow will have surgery on his right leg.He has two blockages in the right leg and one in the left. The doctor said as long as he was tolerating the Chemo that it would be alright to have the surgery. If he waits, the blockage could burst. We saw our Oncologist this morning and he says that Jim's positive attitude was a great help in his treatment. I believe in Him and the doctors but I also believe in the power of the KT prayers . So I come here once again to ask for your prayers.

veleen and Vince my thoughts and prayer are with you. Veleen my Mom had the same eye problems be sure and ask your Dr what thing you can get from the government for help with your eyes. My mother rec books on tape as many as she wanted a month they send you the machine and the tapes free and you mail them back free they send you a list of all the books available all cities have this you could also check with you library and they would know what all you have to do to get started. It would be a good pass time for you both and then you could tell us what books to read. You will get you eye drops regulated and they pretty much can help you with the drops but be sure and take them I have had 6 weeks of treatment for my back on a spina table and it has done wonders for my back and also for my husband back. Check into spina tables with your Dr and I think you will find y our back much better. I will keep you in my daily prayers and hope to see you when I come to Westlake OH to see my big Sis I know Donna oh is also near there would be great to give you all a hug in person!!!!!!!!! praying for you now imabest

I agree with Wildchild, what CAN you do in life without knowing the basics? Think back to first grade, in order to print your name you had to know the basics of the letters... she could write it from the standpoint of the most basic, such as i noted above to the most complicated, say a brain surgeon where you'd have to know the basics of how the brain works but that wouldn't be nearly enough information to do the job. Just wanted to say one more thing........I had a wonderful colostomy nurse that visited me before I left the hospital. They come and show you how to take care of the colostomy....and explain how it all works. She said something to me that made all the difference in the world and it really did effect my attitude...she said.... Ruth, you can go home, feel sorry for yourself, suck your thumb and lock yourself in the house and be miserable because you have a colostomy, or you can get your butt out of bed and get on with your life. No one will ever know that you have an colostomy unless you tell them so go and do whatever it is that you feel like doing......I certainly took her words to heart and lived just that way.....and after the tissue in the colon had time to heal, I had the reversal ie... the rehook and it all went well............Tell your Mother not to worry......

his positive attitude IS a wonderful thing! I always made a habit of smiling at other patients when leaving after treatments...more than once was asked for a hug...it works!

will be looking for your update tomorrow!

Thank you for your prayers and please keep them going.When Jim woke up this morning his right leg was really giving him a lot of pain. We were at the hospital and he went in for surgery. It took longer than they said it would so we were getting worried. The doctor finally came out and told us there was a problem. When they went in to fix the blockage,it turned out that the stint that they had put in earlier was was completely blocked and they couldn't get the catheter in, so they put him in ICU and he was put on an ultrasound and a blood thinner and some other meds. to hopefully get the clot cleared. He has some feeling coming back into his right foot and they said that was a good thing. If all goes well during the night they will take him down in the morning and try to finish the surgery. Please keep the prayers going.

Always have Jim and you in my special thoughts Sandy. I pray he can improve so the surgery can be completed.

I also believe his positive attitude and spirit has helped him to come this far. Keep it up Jim.
