I'm having a very small gathering for our DS's university graduation on Monday. Bigger party to follow next weekend when most people are available. His convocation is at 9AM on a Monday morning in downtown Toronto!! What's with that!

Anyhow, this gathering involves his Mom and her husband and his maternal Grandparents. People I have not seen or talked to in 20 years and it's OK by me if it's another 20 until next time! LOL His GF and her parents will also be here so 10 in all.

It will be brunch type meal and I am doing one of Chris' favourite meals. After all it is his day!

Baked ham, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, slaw and fresh homemade rolls.

I'm not saying that I care if I impress these folks, but let's just say...... I SURE AS HECK DO !!!!

It all just seems so plain...I know I need another veggie, probably green, but all I can think of is green beans!!!

I'll fuss it up with some great appetizers and a nice dessert but what can I do to change this very humble menu into something that is different but still stay with the simple food my kid loves best?
