That has happen to me so many times. The cashiers there seem to be very careless. If you ever have a tiny item be sure to put it in your purse or it will be in someone elses bag.

That has happened to me twice lately. Yesterday I bought some grapes, went all the way home and discovered they hadn't put them in my bag. DH had to stop by the store on his way home for work to get them. What a pain!

After having it happen to me, now I do not leave without asking the checkout person...."is that everything?" and I wait until they have looked for sure. I'm not going to go through that again. I've seen checkers yell after people, for a forgotten bag. It's too easy to happen.

I thought I had everything cause the checker put my bags in my cart, duh! NOT!!!!

Another reason why I choose not to shop at Walmart.
But it does happen at other stores, I am sure.
I shop at a market where I bag my own groceries so I know they get in the cart.

Carol: Sometimes even bagging your own stuff can trip you up! Believe it or not, it happened to me -- I was using the self-check, and I was rushing to scan and bag because there was someone else waiting. I bagged the item (can't recall what it was) but probably put the bag aside to put similar-weight items with it and used a fresh bag for the next stuff, but I forgot that first bag! That was the only item missing.

And to think I started to use the self-check registers BECAUSE at least twice the cashier forgot something!

Glenda, yes, this has happened to us twice. If we don't check ourselves out, the number of items you buy is on the receipt, so I stop briefly to count the items we have in the bags.

it's that round bagging gizmo..that and they can't put certain items together, so they skip bags...yup another who asks is that it??

glenda was this the first time you'd gotten cube steak there? i bought it once (we like sam's club meat) but it seemed tastless...

I don't like to buy fresh meat from WalMart, prefer Publix, but it looked good, so I bought it.

Maybe it was meant for me not to have WalMart's cube steak, huh?

I'm glad you got a refund and not the cube steak, like you said maybe it wasn't meant to be. Walmart meat is terrible in my opinion. Bought a beef roast there last week and it wasn't fit to eat. Have bought other meat there to. I prefer buying fresh meat at Publix or Sams Club.

It has happened to DH several times. You would think after the first time he would be very careful. I know his mistake has made me more careful. Unfortunately, I'm only careful at Walmart. Once I was expecting company and had a very specific list of items I needed and when I got home, a number of them weren't there. I called the store but there was no bag left behind. The store manager was very kind and trusting...told me to just go get the items I needed. In the process, I saw a cart sitting by the produce that had the last two packages of sliced mushrooms in it and I was very jealous because I needed mushrooms and because of the time constraint I would have liked them already sliced. On further examination of the cart there were all the other items I was missing. I obviously started shopping with one cart and grabbed someone else's cart to finish my shopping. I hadn't noticed anything I didn't need when unpacking the original order. Talk about embarrassing moments. I thanked the store manager and sheepishly told him about my stupidity.

My college sweetheart cooked the best cube steaks.

salt and pepper only in butter about a minute on each side and serve with salad and Russian dressing.

i used it to make chicken fried steak..floured and fried...needless to say we don't have it often...i used t make my own from round steak, but can't find thin enough to pound...(all the cuts are well over an inch thick)

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago.Took back and item without a receipt and got a store credit card.Used that when I checked out.When the cashier ran the card it wouldn't go through so she tried again and again and again,even typed in the number 3 times,then finally called someone to help.After about 10 minutes at the checkout they figured out the machine was broken! Duhhh! There was a long line behind me and the lady next in line kept tapping her ultra long fake nails on the box she was waiting to have checked out!LOL Anyway,I was frustrated,loaded up my cart and left.Got home and couldn't find the $2.69 bag of sugar or the receipt!It was the time of the month when money is tight so I was counting my pennies and $2.69 is,well,a bag of sugar!LOL DH went back to the store to the checkout where I had been.Luckily the cashier remembered me and told him to go get another bag of sugar and come back through her line.Actually I thought that was pretty nice of her because without a receipt it would be hard to get a replacement.I imagine the lady with the long fingernails got a free bag of sugar as compensation for having to wait in line so long! LOL I always check and ask if that's all but that day was a big mess and I just forgot.

Went to THE BEEF PLACE, Winn Dixie and bought cube steak, today.

I was once charged $12.00 for a head of cabbage.
Not WalMart, but local supermarket long time ago. I caught it before I left the store.

No one asked but I will tell you anyway.

I do not like anything about Winn Dixie, that includes their meat.

Hi OJ, No, no new love, just pressed for time. I did feel a bit silly but was ever so appreciative that the store manager trusted in me to be honest and was going to allow me to replace the missing groceries compliments of the store. As it turned out, that wan't necessary.
