Dirty Finger Nails Update

DFN has been quite ill after ther hysterectomy. Recovery was very slow and at times she was regressing. When we met with her primary oncologist about 2 weeks ago (U of Minnesota) we were informed that the cancer is stage 4...there is no stage 5. Doctor was quite vague about her survival and provided little information on what the chemo would accomplish.

Her case has essentially been transfered to Cuyuna Range Medical Center...about 15 miles from us...the U of M is 150 miles away. CRMC has a good oncology department and we met with the oncologist this past Thursday. He had some good news for that went a long way to lifting our spirits.

DFN's cancer is treatable and there is a fairly good chance that the treatment can work and she could get her life back. The Dr. made no gauruntees but he was optimistict on her chances.

She has the port intalled next Tuesday and begins chemo Wednesday thru Friday. 6 cycles...1 cycle every other week. And it's outpatient.

Keep the thoughts and prayers coming!!!!
