Dirty finger Nails

I brought DFN yesterday. She's feeling good. She will begin

radiology treatment in a couple of weeks. Doctors believe she's at a stage 2 or 2 1/2 so treatment is looking good. Thanks for all you cards. They really cheered her up. It's so ggod to have my better looking half home!!!

I love to get my bare hands in the dirt but my skin does not. I hated all gardening gloves until I tried Atlas Nitrile Touch gloves: http://www.lfsinc.com/atlasgloves/garden.htm and what I do is keep about a dozen pairs near me when I'm gardening so that I can quickly put on a clean pair if the one I'm wearing gets too wet. Later, I throw all the dirty ones in the laundry. In three years I have not worn out a single pair!

dirty finger nails all summer thats a true gardener. I find myself heading to a graduation party cleaning my finger nails the best you can do as you are heading down the road. On Sat. afternoons lately people know I have been doing volenteer working weeding I may have mud spots on the knees of the jeans or still very wet mud depending on how much its been raining as I stop in the store for something quick on the way home. Hmmmm some have said as I walk by and I hear them but I just go about getting what I need and head for home for a hot shower and something to eat. That is what some fellow gardeners look like. If you see me on Sat afternoon in a store you'll know its me and I am a fellow gardener. LOL Gardenmaker79

Great news! Praying that the other sessions will be tolerated as well! woo hoo! As she progresses with the treatments, the side effects will possibly get a little tougher each time. Make sure you have the anti nausea pills on hand and anything else thta may help her. It doesn't always happen, and I don't know what "cocktail" she is taking, but just wanted you to be aware... I'm sure the Doc went over all of that with you anyway...

I have in the past.Always did them myself because I hated the thick look of all I had seen done in salons.People always complimented how nice mine looked and thought they were my "real" nails.LOL Up until I was in my late 50's my own nails were thick and strong then they started breaking and peeling and I could never get them to grow.That is why I wore the fake ones.I don't do them now mainly because they are a pain and take too much time and maintenence. Lynn- Does arthritis have something to do with the splitting? I have a thumbnail that has a split and I do have arthritis in that thumb joint.But I have it in the other one too and it is fine.My mother had a thumbnail that did the same thing but she was a seamstress and did a lot of crafting that involved using that thumb a lot,as do I,so we just attributed the split to that.She also had arthritis. She's still very much in my thoughts/prayers daily. I hope that the treatments she's to get do the job and quickly, without side effects.

Oh, I didn't realize you had gotten the biopsy report back, RGWNP. I'm glad DFN's prognosis is good and I hope you'll tell her that I'm wishing all the best for you both!

Glad things are on the mend.
A good friend of mine has gone through the same thing, although stage 4 when discovered, she is a year long survivor and doing wonderful!

It is so good to hear DFN is home and doing well. I will continue my thoughts and prayers for everyone.
I just put her card in the mail today, she should have it by the beginning of next week.
