time to get those hands DIRTY!!
Comments (16)Thanks Pam and Margaret! I hope to get enough potatoes to make up for the $4 paid for each small bag of seed potatoes, LOL! I can't recall ever eating homegrown potatoes. Maybe when I was small, but this is my first planting and I am excited about it. The marjoram just grows and grows. When I planted it a couple of years ago, I thought it was great, but I really don't use it that much. It grows with no help from me so I would hate to get rid of the plant, although I do thin it out every once in a while....See Morelooking for dirty hands in California
Comments (2)Hi Lisa. As far as meetings for a gardening club in your area, I suggest contacting some nurseries in your area or posting something on the California forum. Over on the California forum, on the "Exchanges" side you will often see someone from the southern CA area organizing a plant swap. However, most of these take place in the spring and early summer. You just have to check in on the CA Exchange forum now and then. I've been to several and hope to host one as soon as I retire. Plant swaps have been held in Redlands, Costa Mesa, Norco, Buena Park, Fontana, south Orange County and probably elsewhere. The "Coversations" side of the same forum will also sometimes get folks together to raid a designated nursery. Additionally, there are garden tours in the southern CA area every spring. You just have to keep your eyes and ears open for them. One of my favorite spring garden tours is the MaryLou Heard Memorial Garden Tour which usually occurs in May. It's free and you can contact someone at this site for more information: MaryLou Heard Memorial Garden Tour Stella_Blue (Mary) of the GW organized the below group a couple of years ago for locals but there isn't much activity on the board now. Here is a link that might be useful: Southern CA Fun Gardening Club...See MoreDirty Finger Nails
Comments (16)Let me tell you...even without the chemo and other treatments...Just going through the hysterectomy take a long time of being tired. When I had mine I had no pain fron it whatsoever. Had it on a Tues. came home on Wed. and went to the auction on Saturday... But everything I did...required a nap afterwards...for nearly 6 months. The being tired is common...eventually that will go away. One less thing to worry about. I believe there is a bright future for her... Hugs.. patti...See MoreDirty Finger Nails
Comments (23)I've been away from here lately and I just had to let you both know there's a gal in Canada's capital city mustering up a whopper of positive energy covered with my prayer. LOL, and yes, it's darn cold outside...you know the drill! Peggy...See Moremeldy_nva
