About me: I'm a full-time database tech for a major school system, who is looking forward to retirement so as to have time to garden full-time, rather than just weekends and evenings. I have a small suburban lot that contains flower beds, 2 vegetable gardens, fruit trees, grape vines, an area which is gradually being converted into a shade garden, and too many fruit-eating squirrels. My mother practiced organic gardening long before Mr. Rodale, Sr. published his first magazine, so I am most comfortable with those tenets.
