That would be a hard thing for any one of us.....not only do you have to go through all this, but then you lose your hair too. Tell her we love her and think she's beautiful whether she has it or not. She has such a beautiful spirit.

Bad Hair Day for sure. My sister enjoyed the freedom of not having to mess with her hair. But was too shy to go wigless in public.
Wigs are good, but tend to ride up with not much to hold on to, one that is a little small will be a pain to wear.
So get one just barely snug or a little big. Turbin wraps are good too. Dew rag anyone?
Shaved heads are all the rage for men now, heck why not women too?
I know, easier said than done. The hair will grow back quickly!

My sisters wig was so natural looking, a lot of people didn't even know she had a wig on. Her girlfriend is a beautician, and after she got her wigh her friend cut and thinned and tapered it to fit my sister.
Good thoughts and prayers for you both. Sorry she is sick too. Have they given her anything for the nausea?

Lots of prayers and sunflowers for one tough lady and to you. The hair grows back, mine was even less gray.

I'm a cancer patient myself, so I can appreciate how good it feels to be done with radiation. What a great day!

I have not lost all my hair, but it is way too thin to feature in public. I bought several hats from this website as well as a hair piece that attaches to some of the hats. I also bought a headband wig that I wear with a hat. Everyone says they look really cute and natural.

I'm glad you posted Radio Guy. I have thought of you both since Thanksgiving and you have my prayers!!

Give her a hug and tell her that we are not defined by our hair...We are who we are...My hair is so thin but I haven't shaved it yet. I have it cut very very short but will probably do the deed soon. The problem is that it isn't growing any more and I just leave a trail of hair all over everything and it isn't going to get any better. I still have a month to go too ...I have just noticed that one of my eyebrows is giving up the fight too...only about half of the eyebrow on the left side is still there.

I hope she is doing well and adjusts to going without hair. The ladies that I see in my area are all OK with the hair loss and we share a lot of tips etc...

Also, about the wig. A friend wore one for two years and her mother never knew it. She used double sided tape to hold hers in place. Sadly, she is no longer with us.

I'm sorry she had to join this sisterhood,but like everything else"this too shall pass".I'm going thru cancer treatments now also and have lost my hair.I wear hats,cotton ones,knit ones etc.I didn't get a wig as i knew i wouldn't like it.One thing i've learned is that if she can get some headbands about 3" wide to wear under the hats,it helps hold them in place so they don't slide up.Most hats are made too short in the back,and that's why they ride up.JMO

Losing my hair was harder for me than losing my boobs.
