I buy that alot to have on hand when I make spaghetti or veal parmesan, ect. I use my toaster oven to toast it.

looks yummy but won't give up my grilled sour dough bread...in fact was wondering what to fix for lunch...fighting a cold and nothing was sounding good...

Matched my Texas cheese toast, so I'll serve this again and again, when needed.

That has been on the market for years, glad you like it but I prefer home made.

it is great and I have made up a ton of quick meals and snacks you can make with the various flavors of it.
I do mini pizzas . In fact here is my recipe file on a few I have made.

Texas toast pizza:
New York brand Texas Parmesan Toast slices
Pepperoni slices
Grated/shredded cheese (your choice)
Pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce
Place the Texas toast slices (frozen) on a piece of foil or on a cookie sheet top with a spoon full of the sauce, then add the pepperoni slices, and top with the grated cheese. Heat in 425 oven for 7-9mins.

Texas toast Mexican treats:
New York brand Texas Parmesan Toast slices
Salsa
Refried beans (black beans or regular) Heated
Grated/shredded cheese
Place the Texas toast slices (frozen) on a piece of foil or on a cookie sheet top with a spoonful of salsa, then spread on preheated refried beans, and top with the grated cheese. Heat in 425 oven for 7-9mins.
you can add chopped tomatoes and sour cream after heated if desired. ( I like black olive slices)

Texas Toast Mini Muffs (muffaletta)
New York brand Texas Parmesan or Cheese Toast slices
Thin sliced hard salami or Lebanon bologna
Thin sliced ham or turkey
Muffaletta olive mix
Grated/Shredded cheese
Place the Texas toast slices (frozen) on a piece of foil or a cookie sheet. Top with the sliced meat (2 slices 2varities). Spread the olive mix over the meat. Top with shredded cheese. Heat in 425 oven for 7-9 mins.

these are great if you have kids over and need a quick fix.
Oh now I want a mini muff and I don't have any of that stuff on hand! I used to always have a box of that toast in my freezer.

Glenda, I love that brand. I usually buy the plain garlic toast. It has just the right amount of garlic without being overwhelming.

Ravencajun, you always have the best ideas! I haven't seen the mini muffs, unless I just overlooked them. I love muffalettas. I will look for them. Thanks for all those ways to use it.

That stuff is pretty good ;) We had been buying the Pepperidge Farm brand for quick get togethers, then discovered the WalMart generic and Safeway generic aren't significantly different - at about half the price for the garlic and cheese styles.

I'm not saying it's healthy, just tasty. We've been keeping a few boxes in the freezer at my SILs weekend house, where we tend to meet after clam digging, warm up and eat things that aren't especially good for us.

Patti you have to make them they do not have them for sale, you can buy the jar of olive mix all ready done.
There are lots of things that could be put on the toast I just try stuff some are keepers some not lol

Used to make almost from scratch stuff, grating the garlic, etc...but frozen is so much easier.

I opted again Peppridge Farm cause I got more slices and was cheaper, and NOT regrets. We all loved it!

We buy that all the time as well.We also found regular bread on the bread aisle that is called Texas bread.The slices are nice and thick like the toast,we like that one for making french toast in the morning,or i should say DH does!!

Morz8, the lady in charge of frozen foods told me the Wal-Mart brand was the same thing as the New York brand. So I tried it and we couldn't tell the difference either. We just don't get to Wal-Mart often (thank heavens).

Ravencajun, I understood I'd have to make them--I've just never seen the rolls. I like to make my own olive salad. I don't like those pickled vegetables so just make my salad without.

Thanks, Glenda for showcasing something I can do quickly using a product from the freezer. My way of life although I promised myself to incorporate some of the KT recipes in my cooking.

Anyone could have a great restaurant just using these recipes with proper credit given to the KTers.

I keep that (minus the cheese) in the freezer all the time. I especially like finding coupons for it and have a couple for my next grocery trip.

Ellie, I lived in Arlington County; a W-L grad. We were football rivals with, was it GW high school? Not sure if I remember the name right after all these years.

We had a Harris Teeter here a while back, but it didn't succeed and now Kroger is in that building. I would think that HT would have the TT.
