Here's Our Smoked Bacon

We are so pleased with ourselves! After it was sliced, we nuked off a couple slices & it's wonderful. We flavored with maple syrup & crushed black peppercorns. We'll use more pepper next time but it's still very, very good. Smoked using apple chips. It's 5 lbs. of pork belly (raw weight). We divided it up into 8 slice packages plus another one of ends pieces for baked beans or soup. We were so excited that we actually ended up with bacon that we forgot to take pixs after it was sliced. :(

Annie, thanks for posting pictures of your successful bacon. It convinced me to order the smoker for DH & get started. Your pictures made me so hungry for bacon & we don't eat much of the commercial stuff - too salty.
