About 2 years ago, i met a local fellow who is about 25 years younger than me, and he has a hard side camping trailer, the kind with the canvas covered front bunk. He allowed that he was going out west to Arizona, for his vacation trip. He bought a GMC Sport-utility to tow with. and installed an auxiliary tranny cooler, and was worried about maybe having car trouble out there on the big old hiway! He asked me if, in our many years of hauling campers and stand-up trailers, if i worried about having a break-down on the road. Gee! When i think of the used cars i'd get to tow with, and how far we'd usually go on a trip, Maybe we were fat, dumb, and happy! But--we never had a new car or truck. Never could afford one, and didn't think it was very smart to tie up a pile of money in car payments. I'd get home from work, the boys would have every thing hooked up and ready to go. We''d grab a bite, and clean up and go! Sometimes to Hickory Hills Camp in Ohio, or our Bluegrass Park, north of Kittanning, Pa. Usually if ya do break down on the hiway, a cop will come along fairly soon and get ya some help. When he heard of how we'd just "go", and not worry about the tow vehicle' he just shook his head.

We had a featherbed when I was pregnant with our third baby. We only used it for a few months but it was really great for me! Very comfortable. Not hot. But hubby couldn't stand it so we ditched it after the baby was born. Now we have a wool pile mattress pad, which I love. It's not hot at all. It's 1" thick wool on a knit backing and it's machine washable and dryable.

This is a hoot! Last month we slept on a Tempurpedic bed at a hotel. Four days of heaven! We liked it so much we just took delivery of a Classic Tempurpedic bed yesterday. Neither of us sleep warm so the warmth of the mattress is welcomed, even in FL.

Have had mine for 10 plus years. Would never change it, great comfort for me. I sleep at 40. The bad reviews have not been an issue with mine. Specifically the complaints of middle balaster, don't even know it is there. And some have a problem with the sides not holding up, another none issue for me. I also like that I can take the pillow top off and wash it. Although I do have an extra mattress cover on too. One of the pluses is changing bedding...so easy since the top is really light. I'm getting old, not having to deal with heavy mattresses wasn't a plus I'd considered. My suggestion is to go with one of the the higher models as I suspect the components are better. Many have mentioned the Costco product and are just as pleased with them. Mattress needs are such a personal choice. Glad to hear others are happy with their SN. But remember that it may not be for you. Without defining all the best reasons, at my end would definitely recommend one. Has anyone not bought the base unit and used a box spring or thick plywood in it's place? The base unit is nothing more than a thick plastic board made up of 4 equal squares that you push together. You still need a frame that has cross supports under this. If another option works, big savings in eliminating theirs and using another option.
