Nope, we don't change until March 30th, along with the rest of Europe.

Sure would be easier if every country would do it at the same time though wouldn't it LOL.

I had an "issue" with the kitchen drain last night ( too many chicken bones!) and was fussing with it and didn't get to bed before 11....well really 12. So 7:30 which was pretty much 6:30 came early....and Chabby couldn't believe I was getting up!
Seems dogs and babies don't know daylight savings time!

I don't know daylight savings time either. I was up at my usual 6:30 today and I didn't get to sleep until 1AM since DS didn't get in until 12:30 last night. But luckily most of the stuff in the house resets itself. My hubby and son are still sleeping, sigh.

My favorite time of year is when we are on daylight savings time...so I'm celebrating!

C*** didn't realize till I saw this. I hate losing an hour, though I do like the sunlight after work.

I guess I'm in the minority, since I'm a morning person. I hate daylight savings time. I like to go walking in the morning, and just when it's almost getting light enough to see, they make us turn our clocks forward so we have dark mornings again. Grrrr. And all the children have to go to school in the dark. Okay, I understand it's nice to have light after work, but I want my light in the morning. Whine. In the summer, it's too blasted hot to go outside after work, so what's the point in it being light then? Pout.

I'm with Nancy on this one! Must be a Michigan thang! I love it! Of course it helps that I don;'t always have to get up early (self employed..uh..and the boss is pretty lax at times :-) .....and I love working out in my greenhouse and garden in the evenings. Of course we have to get rid of the snow and the 10 degree temps first!

I beat the system. Got up early ...did my doggie visits...went back home and crawled into bed until 10am! Don't feel I lost an hour...feel great!

Sorry for you morning people..but you'll make it up in the fall!

There was an article in the paper where it's been determined that it actually costs MORE money on DST rather than saves anything -- which I'd suspected for years.

Yes, I remembered. Now, normally I love having clocks in every room. Since the birth of the digital clock, though, it seems that so many new appliances are coming with a clock embedded in them. So whenever the time changes, I moan - "all those clocks to change!" We're still not done - the vehicles need to have their clock changed, the VCR is programmed to change at the end of April (so we may not mess with it) like it used to change, and who knows if I've missed any other clocks in the house! Thank goodness, the computers all change themselves!

The good news and the bad news - my DH bought a new coffeemaker for the kitchen today (good news) - it came with - you guessed it - a CLOCK! (bad news, another clock to set come November or the next power outage!)

I remembered but I hate it. My daughter goes to bed at 7pm and noticed it was light. Luckily she was so tired it didn't matter. Time changes usually throw her off. We'll see what happens in the morning.

Will you all think I'm weird if I tell you I like when it gets dark early? I also prefer cloudy, rainy, or snowy days. I'm not too fond of sun. Ok I am weird.

My husband's German heritage manifests itself in his obsession with clocks being correct. I haven't had to reset a clock since I met him.

When I was in the restaurant business, we (the management) used to have a betting pool twice a year on which employee(s) would show up an hour early or an hour late (depending).

I did remember, and the kids slept in a little more. On the other hand Peyton and Hayden had a heck of a time with the time change tonight, neither wanted to go to bed at regular time of 8 which felt like 7 to them. They kept going like little crazy monsters all night.

oops I did it again; I did not reset the clocks yesterday and just realized it monday morning, we are on vacation in florida so it's not a big deal.

Maggie (GD) and I slept in till 10:00 a.m. It was so comfy under all the covers that neither one of us really wanted to get out of bed. Then we played in bed for an hour before we really got up....just in time for lunch!

Saturday night there was a terrible storm here, freezing ice and slush that turned to slush. Our neighbor was over and said he was was going to change all his clocks but he decided to wait in case the power went out. No point in setting his clocks twice. He also mentioned some folks might call him lazy but he was really efficient. LOL! The power flickered a few times but it never went out.

I heard a plan someone came up with that I think ought to be considered for those of you that like dark mornings and light evenings. This guy suggested we have daily daylight savings time. The way it works is that you set your clocks back every night (at 2:00 a.m. if you wish), then at 3:00 p.m. every afternoon you set your clocks forward. That way, you get your extra hour of sleep every night, and your extra hour of daylight in the evening. Maybe it could work. The best part is you get to work an hour less a day!

I remembered, but mainly because I heard it on NPR which I was listening to before getting out of bed on Sunday. I prefer it to be dark in the mornings (no sun in my eyes as I drive to work, as it has been these past couple o' weeks) and light in the evenings when I'm home and can enjoy it. Dark early in the evenings many times means I spend all of the day's daylight cooped up at work. Ick!

I'll second that! It used to be 6 months standard, 6 months daylight, now they've got it up to 4 months standard, 8 months daylight. Seems to me they can just make it daylight all year 'round and just have done with it!
