Hello all, I was doing a google search for "Mrs. Cordrey's Spatter Shield" and found your posts. To answer some of your questions regarding this post I can tell you my father's company "Robot" manufactured the spatter shields for Mrs. Cordrey. In fact my mother still uses one! Yes they were well made!! My father, a retired engineer was/is a perfectionist! I would love to get a hold of one of these wonderful spatter shields myself...can't find anything on the market that compares! Hope this answers some of your questions!

Karen, As I mentioned before, my FS canisters crack so that necessitated trying the canning jars. It's one of the few appliances that I keep on the counter. Mine is in black, which I like because it blends in with the dark granite and isn't glaring. I don't see black as an option anymore. I make a tray of instant coffee ice cubes which equals one cup. You are correct in stating that the cream is the liquid necessary to make the smoothie blend. On a road trip last week I stopped at McDonald's for one of the Frappes for breakfast, it was almost like my mocha smoothie but not as rich but still good. Here is my recipe which includes the recipe for making a batch of dry ingredients that I keep on hand. MOCHA SMOOTHIE Ingredients for Batch of Dry Mix: 1 Â 17.4 oz can Godiva Dark Chocolate Truffle Cocoa Mix 1 cup Unsweetened Dark Cocoa 4 cups Splenda-or to your liking Mix dry ingredients very well. Store in airtight canister. Individual Serving: 8 tbls of dry mix Pinch of salt 8 tbls fat free half & half 1 tray coffee ice cubes (I pre-crush in a plastic bag) Add half & half, salt, and dry mix to blender. Blend until smooth. Add coffee ice 1/3 at a time until smoothie texture. Total calories=248 Bottom line-this is how I drink a cup of coffee!
