Listen guys, I don't have time worrying about a hair width crack in some caulking or anything else. My blueprints were re-written from a very simple and basic plan my mother and I drew and correspondingly, all materials were brought to the job site just like any other home. Anything can catch on fire. This is a bunch of crap, worry about your own home. Greenhouser, I'm a loner meaning I live alone. I love my family. Maybe if I get well, then someday I'll have a wife but until I'm ready, that's not a possibility. I have delusional disorder/schizophrenia and this is a resting place for me so I can get well while having enough property to garden, propagate, and keep my mind busy year-round. My friend and contractor knows how much I like my home. Thanks, and thanks for stopping the what if's. I've never lived thinking I was going to die just because it's possible to hit a deer with my automobile or if I were to be walking in the woods and a tree fell on me. Sharon, Just when I thought I'd have time to be a regular at CF again...my time gets zapped up so quickly. I wanted you to know I am thoroughly enjoying these posts! I am having a great time figuring out what you're saying with my own camera. My pictures have already improved remarkably. Thanks Phyllis! Yes I have seen that idea as well as using a 5 gallon white plastic jug from laundry softener and cutting a hole, or a big white plastic basin. A lot of the success depends on the strength of the lamps you use outside to light up the inside of the container. And if you have a DSLR with a flash that can be tilted up towards the ceiling or behind, you can use an airline barf bag (excuse the term) slipped over the flash attachment to diffuse the light. I'm uploading these tutorials onto their own blog, at the rate one per week, with links to other interesting places and will also be adding some sections on using a DSLR: aperture and depth of field, understanding f stops, shutter speed, bracketing exposures and a little more. Oh thank you Annie. I hope you will find them easy to follow. To turn off your flash, find the flash menu....it has a lightening bolt icon. When you get that menu open, look for the icon that's a circle with the lightening bolt inside. That's the indication that you don't want it to flash for any photos. When you want to set the flash to go off again, set it to the lightening bolt icon in the flash menu....the one without the circle around it. The AUTO sign which is found in the flash menu, means you leave it up to the camera to decide whether or not the picture will need flash, sometimes it will, other times it won't. If you have an eye icon also in your flash menu, that is the red eye stopper. The camera will do a preflash or a fluttering, blinking light to make people's pupils close just before the main flash goes off, avoiding those red devil eyes that happen with flash photos. SharonCb
