Thanks everyone. Those ducks are special. My Mom bought the mother and 3 duckings because she had 3 kids. Then she decided she should have bought more of the ducklings to represent her 6 grandchildren. My daughter and I went back tot he store she got them in and found 6 more and gave them to her. That garden is full of the perennials that where in her garden and annuals from ther flowers that she had there. We decided that we shouldn't leave them in her apt garden after she passed away, she would want me, the gardener to have them. Will post more pics of that garden in another thread. Fran

I have the Kodak Easy Share, and it works the same way on both my XP and Vista computers. I did not install any driver for the camera. I did install the Kodak program. Once the program is installed, leave the camera off, hook up your usb cable to both the computer and the camera. Now open easy share software. Turn on the camera. You should get up a box, that says, windows has detected new hardware, and it will install a driver for the camera. Once done, Kodak, will come up with a box, to transfer all the pictures. I dont store my pictures in Kodak (it does keep a copy though, that I delete later). I have gone into preferences, and have all photos,directed to go to a folder on my desktop. Your camera, most likely is different than mine, since mine is a couple years old, but my grandaughters is much newer than mine, and she has no problems, putting her pictures on my computer using this method, and my daughter recently got a new Kodak, and she had no problem putting them on my computer either. When swapping the settings on your camera I assume you have tried the very highest settings? This will give you as good a photo as possible from the camera. Regarding the software and viewing the photo. Are the 'swirls' emanating from a central point and moving out like ripples? Is so this may very well be to do with your flash. Most digital cameras have the flash activated by default and so many users never turn them off. A camera flash is only any good for a few short feet, after that they are basically useless I find. Try taking some shots without the flash, you will need to support the camera or practise standing very still because the shutter will stay open longer in lower light. If you are trying to save a few important photos already taken you might try to resample a shot and set the pixel density to 150 or even 300 to see if that helps eliminate the ripples and wavy lines. JASC may use a different term for resampling, Corel uses Resample, Paint uses Attributes. Same soup just different gravy :-)

from my experience you usually have to have a program to import from...I have been inporting from Picasa...it lets you view your pics bigger and if you don't want to import you exclude it or not import at all...but you can see nicely-the photos if you want to import or exclude from downloading on to computer with the usb. and on my nikon it does not display on camera screen at the same time but on my p&s Olympus it does.
