computer or digital camera causing problem?

Maybe I've posted a similar note before. I have a couple of digital cameras. I use Jasc software for their pictures. I can take a picture of a brick house and the brick image is swirley. I can take a picture of a car with pin striping. The striping will be distorted.

The cameras are the same brand and in the $300-$400 range, so not cheap. Both started acting up after maybe a year or two. The company claims the problem is in my computer or software.

I've changed pixel settings in the cameras; I've set their programs to their default; I've done everything I can think of. They still giving the swirley and distorted lines.

Has anyone run across this? I don't know enough to say yea or nay to the company's claim. I have an old and cheap third Sanyo digital camera that's a no brainer. The pictures it takes do not have the problem as the Casios.

Any thoughts? ideas? suggestions? advice? Thanks, Gene
