WOT Seach Engines

Hi,

I'm trying to find a list of search engines that display WOT ratings (i.e. the colored circles) in the search results. I know Google and Yahoo do. But sometimes I like trying the various alternative search engines that are out there, but most of them don't display the ratings.

I have looked at the WOT forums, but didn't find anything (yet) addressing my question. And I have found several web pages that list alternate search engines and then I try them one by one to see if results show WOT ratings, but that's a rather slow and tedious process and, as I say, most don't show the ratings.

Does anyone know if there is an actual list somewhere of what search engines are supported by WOT ?

Found this when I googled your question. "WOT supported search engines" and found this in this article:
It supports 24 search engines :
- Google, Yahoo, Exalead, Ask, Netscape, AllTheWeb, Altavista, Bing, Yebol, Duck Duck Go, Seek.fr, Yauba, Baidu, Green Maven, Ethicle, Good Tree, Ecocho, Yandex, Orange, Le moteur, Voila, Clusty, Dogpile, Metacrawler

Hi,

Thanks for the response and the link. :-)

I looked at the engines listed there and tried all of them. But, besides the usual (Yahoo, etc.) only about 3 of the 24 listed actually showed the WOT ratings circles in the search results, including Netscape/AOL, Dogpile and Yandex. (But those are 3 I didn't know about previously, so thanks !) The article was written back in Feb., so maybe some things changed over the last 10 months. ??

I did find another page (link below) that lists a lot search engines, what the website owners call "anti-google" engines. (The site, be warned, is very political in nature. I don't even know much about it since I only went to it because it was listed in results of a search I was doing for 'alternate search engines.') I have only looked at a few of them so far, since as noted I was hoping to find some premade list of WOT compatible searches so that I wouldn't have to work my way through so many myself.

Well its not big enough to have everything but Henderson [between here and Vegas] does have everything and is only 15 minutes away. Vegas only another 15 minutes. Real estate hype? New home sales are way down as they are across the country. Apparently its worse here on the average but they say Vegas stands to recover quicker then most due to all the new jobs being created with new Hotel/Casino's being built. Of course another 911 could once again put the gaming industry in the pooper as it did on 911 because folks were afraid to travel. Took a couple of years to climb out of it last time. Yeah, spending decades doing something you don't like is a real bummer. I stumbled into this after doing many other things and found I liked repairing stuff. I would advise others starting out to find what they like and then find an outlet that has all the benefits including retirement though. Its tough in this business to find that and I wasn't smart enough to do it. They're out there though but you have to play the game and may take a while to get in. I woke up to it too late. Government based is the way to go in this business. The school district is the # one source around here. They pay as well as any private business and have all the benefits. Just some advise for newbies to the business to heed.

Well, I tried the carb cleaner but no results. So, not knowing anything about carbs, I took it to the dealer, and they took it apart and cleaned it out (he said I was lucky I didn't have to buy a new carburetor, wheatever that means). Started it up at the dealer and it seemed to run ok, but a few days later when I mowed with it, there were still a couple of problems. Surging was gone, but the engine idles like crap (tends to die when I retard the throttle to idle) and it misses a little when under load. It just doesn't seem to be producing full power. Instead of taking it back to the dealer, is there anything else I could look for? Does anyone know where to get a service manual for this carb so I could take it apart myself? (that is the only way I would attempt it myself) Thanks to everyone who responded the first time.

First off, thanks for all the replies so far. I think I am on the right track. I started the engine, immediately started to surge, let it warm up for a few minutes, still surging. I can stick a screwdriver under the governor linkage and apply very slight upward or downward pressure and it will stop surging immediately. At WOT, if I keep the linkage from bouncing up and down for a few seconds and slowly let go, it will not surge for 20-30 seconds. It then starts surging very little but quickly ramps up to the full on surge in a matter of a couple of seconds. Keep in mind the surge from high to low and back to high is less than a second. I observed a few other things. It doesn't surge at idle, but starts at about half throttle. The spring from the throttle to the governor, at idle, has a slight amount of tension. The only adjustment I can see making, on the governor, is actually repositioning the linkage either up or down on the shaft that comes out of the governor. Would this be my next step? I like my JD dealer but I don't want to think about how much he would charge. Especially, since he has to come get it or I have to rent a trailer. Scott

Google works for me and I like the way they report..so, no others for me right now
