I love the look of the stemless, too! I love the platter, it's melamine, and it'll definitely get loads of use! The underside is bright blue! Perfect for me, it'll go with everything I have!

I love the wineglasses too! We've lost a good number over the years to tips of the glass.

Love it! Love the ribbon tied bubble wrap and that platter is flat out fabulous. So's the tea towel.

And I have to say I'm a fan of the stemless wine glasses because growing up, wine was always served in tumblers so the stemless glasses evoke that memory for me.

I'd better hurry up & get my last item so that I can mail my package out before I start second guessing things :-).

First I love the ribbons!!! I have a drawer full and can never have too many ribbons.

I can't quite make out the design on the towel but the towel resembles vintage linen and looks so soft!

My fav are the stemless wine glasses...SOOooooo elegant!

Carol, I'm so glad that you like all that was sent to you. I can now tell you why these things are some of my favorite things.

The "faux" Deruta platter is one of my favorites because my DH gave me a "real pottery" Deruta platter on one of our early wedding anniversary. Well, I ended up breaking it the same year and it also broke my heart. I loved that platter but I wouldn't let him replace it with a real one because of the cost. So, DH replaced it with a 'non-breakable' one. I use the platter all the time for outdoor BB-Q's and informal dinners. It looks like the real thing and brings a smile to my face every time I look at that platter. Hence, this is my favorite platter. Looks like the real thing, huh!

I think the wine glasses are self explanatory. After one glass of wine who wants to worry about stems?! I love to drink wine out of a stemless glass. Riedel has a nice thin glass that makes picking up the glass a light experience. It's not heavy like crystal. I love love love Riedel glasses.

I have this thing for nice tea towels. This brand of towel will last you almost forever. I have 5 that I use all the time and always, always, always think how nice they feel when I pick it up. Truly one of my very favorite things.

Very nice, Karen...love the colors in the platter and the tea towel. I tend to knock over long-stemmed wine glasses, those glasses are great. Right now my wine's in an old jelly glass, lol. Enjoy, Carol.

Wait...wait...the platter is unbreakable? Where did you find it?! Am I gonna have to make a trip to Louisiana just to shop (oh, and eat, mustn't forget that)?

I thought that it was a Deruta platter. I just love them but aside from being expensive they're heavy and in the fantasy world where I actually own one I could easily see myself dropping one that was filled with food. Melamine is a whole different story.

I love those stemless glasses, was looking at them the other day while out shopping. That platter is very cool, and even cooler now that I know it is unbreakable! And you know how much I adore fine linens....nuff said!

I went insomniac surfing for that platter (Amazon, and it comes in other colors, drool!) and the tea towels. I found the towels here and there - I just googled Garnier Thiebaut from the bottom of the picture. Yowzah, I found some that would be perfect in my kitchen. Then I remembered the fabulous tea towels a friend had given me.....got them out of the drawer.... yup, I own two

That platter is unbreakable? Please share the brand and/or source? I can't afford Deruta and have some knockoffs but they are cheap ceramics and chip badly.

I also love the elegance of Reidel but have to say that I don't get stemless, except in the kitchen, perhaps, while cooking. I don't like to see fingerprints on my lovely glasses. And without the stem, I'm warming my white wine faster. I have some lovely, thin stems that fir in the dishwasher to drink from while cooking. I am obviously in the minority, they are very popular.

Karen, you always put together such a nice swap package, and this is no exception.

I'm sure you'll get endless use of everything, Carol. That package must make you feel extra special.

I'll find out the 'brand' of this melamine platter this coming week. I think it's french but....I'll let you all know that are asking about where to get one.

I really love the glasses, used them last night. I know nothing about wine pairings but we had some Sauvignon Blanc, which I love, with a pasta dinner and toasted to Karen! Larry said who is Karen Riverrat? LOL! I totally love these glasses!

GranJan, I didn't notice any fingerprints, they were very light and very nice in my hand. The wine stayed cold. Maybe get a couple to try. I'd recommend them in a second!
