Joe, Once you get your pics copied to an online site (Image Shack, Photobucket, etc) there is a test forum where you can practice to get it all right. With Photobucket, if you copy and paste the 'TAG' under the pic, it will place the pic within the message. Also, with Photobucket, you would copy and paste the URL below the pic to the Optional Link URL box below your message, it will provide a link to the pic as opposed to it appearing in the message. The easiest way I found to do pictures on here is to use the free site Photobucket. Upload your pics to an album, and make that album public (for viewing). Each picture on there has a link you can click to embed the code into a web page. It copies that code to your clipboard, then you just paste into your post. After first pic in post, then drop down a line or two and go through the same process with your second, third, fourth, etc. pics. Easy as pie to use Photobucket in this way, and, is recommend by many on the GW forums. Hope this helps, Bryan

Pasting the photo HTML in the message box has worked for as long as I've been a member - since July 2007....so it's not a "new" thing. What's (relatively) "new" is the "image upload" that GardenWeb now has for the Kitchen's Forum. Regarding Photobucket and Privacy issues....each album has it's own privacy settings. I, for example, have all my Kitchen Remodel and Kitchen Design pics set to "Public". All other albums are set to "Private". Private albums are not accessible if you have public albums and post a link to a pic in a public album. In fact, private albums do not show up to the public so they don't know they're even there. Wendy, I love your graph paper and notebook! I saw your design on the other thread, and I love the pillar there! One thing I've learned from the gw forums is to check and recheck everybody else's work, especially the KD's! On one of the kitchen forum's "how to ask for layout help," it specifically says that overhead 2D plans are more helpful than the 3D views, so I will do that. But for me, I really need to visualize something to understand it, and the 3D views, like the IKEA planner makes, or those above that you revised from your KD's plans that had the mistakes, are way more helpful for me to understand how things will look. I also really like notebooks and/or folders! i know this is "low tech," but I'm going to print out some inspiration pics and pics of the actual appliances and things I've picked out, and make a scrapbook. It will cover all the rooms in the house, have the "before" pictures I'm shooting on Saturday, and then pictures of what I want in each room from the floor to the lighting, including walls, and pretty much everything. Then I'm going to take a lot of pictures throughout the whole process, and finally, the "reveal" pictures. I'll have it all on my computer too, but sometimes it's nice to flip through a physical hard copy folder/notebook, and it can be handy when you don't want to whip out your phone or tablet on site.
