If you have your jpeg files in a folder, then just open up your folder and go to view and put a dot in the one that you want to use. You will have to do this for each folder where you have jpegs. I have always done this and had no problems with them going back. Now if there is another way I wouldn't know. I have always put my jpegs in a folder,open the folder and then click on view and put the dot where I want it. thirdfrt!!!

I've done this for years. I used to file it by application - curtains/drapes, color/paint techniques, furniture, etc - but now I do it by room. I include fabric and paint samples for each room, too. Doing it by room not application makes it easy to grab the specific envelope when I head to the store. Someday I hope to sort this into one large binder with pages and pockets for each room. It will be bulkier to carry around but it will be a time saver. There have been several times when I've been out shopping for one room and found something that might work for another room but without my sample packet, I've no idea if it will work. My style file for the kitchen is much larger than for any other room. In fact, it's gone beyond a file to stacks of magazines littered with post-its. As I make decisions, the stack shrinks a bit but I won't get rid of them until the kitchen is done. I purge periodically, too - and yes it is fun to look back at what I've clipped. I have noticed that my tastes have stayed fairly consistent over the years. I'm still drawn to comfortable, classic design that is light on the fussy details although I've always had a hard time pinpointing my style. The best I can figure is that my taste is a blend of early American, both country and formal, with hints of Pennsylvania Dutch and a dollop or two European country villa. I never would have figured this out, though, if I didn't have my inspiration file and - more importantly - added post-it notes saying what drew me to a specific magazine photo. Sometimes it's the flavor of the whole scene and sometimes it's a tiny detail, such as the stacked molding from upper cabinet to ceiling.

I like Windows 10, but I do wish I still had at least one computer on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Never had a Computer with Windows 8.1 but my Acer W4-820-2882 Tablet was Windows 8.1 before I upgraded it to Windows 10! Having those would allow me to assist even that much better! I do still have a Computer with Windows 7 installed but I don't have any RAM for it (gave the RAM to my son for his computer). I also have two computers with Windows XP, they're just not hooked up! If I had the money I'd buy more RAM (just short on cash). If I had a bigger computer room I'd have all my computers at least hooked up (maybe not all running)! Anyway, I'm glad that link worked and helped you to be able to use the Preview Pane Feature! I've used it a few times and I like that feature!

Right-click any of the pictures, select Open With, then select Windows Picture Viewer from the list of offered programs. That should open the selected picture in Picture Viewer, and anchors that instance of the running Picture Viewer to the folder, and the rest of the pictures should be viewable in turn by pressing the left/right arrow keys on the keyboard, or clicking the navigation buttons at bottom of the Viewer.
