At the top right of the screen image there's a white box in which the words "Search Xmas 2013" appear. Below that box are four symbols. The second from the left is a downward pointing triangle. Click on that (This is a view selection) and choose Large or Extra Large Icons. The images should appear.

Thanks Mikie & Snidely but none of that helped ... I still see only those tiles, I am at a lost here.

When you right click you should see open with?

I do and yet when I choose any of those options the tiles just change to reflect that program ... no pictures appear, mind you if I click on any of those tiles that one single picture comes up. I just wish I can select the various folders that I have pictures in and see all the pic at once rather then single click each one. Guys I appreciate the effort here. Thanks.

Right-click any of the pictures, select Open With, then select Windows Picture Viewer from the list of offered programs. That should open the selected picture in Picture Viewer, and anchors that instance of the running Picture Viewer to the folder, and the rest of the pictures should be viewable in turn by pressing the left/right arrow keys on the keyboard, or clicking the navigation buttons at bottom of the Viewer.

Might look in your folder options to make sure "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is NOT checked.

No problem. I think I remembered there being a setting like that because I'd accidentally turned thumbnails off before? Perhaps while customizing "Performance Options"?
