actually most of the reviews are very old and of the original version not the latest one that has the updated android 2.2 OS. Which is why I much prefer to find current users that have used the device to know what it is like currently, I find that happens very often with devices that change and update, which is good means the company is putting out updates to fix glitches. I to had read reviews and was skeptical but thought well I can get it and just return it if it is a lemon. I have had it for a while now and not a single problem with it, I keep it beside me all day and play a ton of games on it. I have all my fave websites saved so I can surf at leisure. For the price I would sure buy it again. Anyone that does get it let me know I will be more than happy to give the tricks I have learned and help however I can. I especially like that it updates immediately directly from online with out any problems at all.

yes we are both enjoying them, it is a good additional reader for me and is my husbands first. It is so light weight compared to my PDN it is very easy to hold. I have added some books on the SD card also. For $49 for us it was a worthwhile purchase. I do not know if they will re-run that sale price or not, I told a friend about it and he found a CVS with several he bought all of them to give as Christmas gifts.

Clarification/Correction to my previous post... I happened to be at Costco today and I visited the cell phone kiosk to ask some questions. Here is what I found out: 1. Within the "trial period" you can return any phone and get a different one from the same carrier. The length of this trial period varies depending on the carrier, but seems to be in the range of 14-30 days. 2. Within the first 90 days, you can return any phone (by mail) that has a problem/defect and get a replacement or refund from Costco. (Getting a refund from Costco for the phone does not get you out of your contract with the carrier.) 3. If you want a different phone after the trial period is over, it would be up to the carrier whether to agree to that...no guarantees. 4. All phones come with the standard 1-year manufacturer's warranty. Conclusion: 1) In terms of warranty/exchange, Costco offers about what a stand alone cell phone store does, aside from the 90 day refund/exchange through Costco, and 2) Costco seems to offer better deals for your money.

That looks like my Kindle Susan. I think DD said it was the 4? Of course I am new at this too, so take that with a grain of salt. That's a good price for the cover also. I ordered one from Amazon and it was a little over $10. Thanks for all the information, I have 21 books on my Kindle now! All free so far, I know I will buy some in the future, but enjoying free right now! LOL I've started a new saved folder for all the websites and once things settle down I plan on putting some up for lending. I am in the middle of a paperback book, it's slow going and I am SO tempted to give up on the book and start one on my Kindle! I think I will have to enlarge the print on mine just a bit. I can't read it with my glasses on, but can read it fine without the glasses. Just depends on where I will be reading it I guess as to whether I enlarge it or not.
