Minor Thunderbird problem

Up until about a year ago, I was using Netscape as my browser and for email. Then I found Firefox and started using that almost exclusively as my browser. I still checked email in Netscape. Today I decided to download Thunderbird and make the change complete. Everything went fine - all address books and emails made the transfer. When I opened an email in Thunderbird which included a link, I clicked on that link and it opened in Netscape. Hmmmmmmmm.....Interesting I thought.

I then uninstalled Netscape completely, when back to that email in Thunderbird with the link, clicked on the link and nothing happened. I can't open links in Thunderbird emails. I just assumed it would open the link in Firefox, but it didn't.

Is there some default setting I have to change somewhere?

Holy Smokes! My son was just asking me about this today too. He uses Thunderbird and Firefox also. He has been trying to find the setting to configure TB to open links in FF. Currently they only open in IE. Critical? No. Annoying? Yes.

I don't use TB, but I told him I would nose around a bit. This is even better. I await the answer with great interest. DA

Probably need to dig around in your browser for a setting to set that browser as the default internet browser.

Since the engine did crank when you jumped directly to the starter motor from the battery, the ground circuit is good. Since the solenoid is just a switch- The problem has to be failure of some circuit from the battery POST to the TERMINAL on the starter motor. Starting from battery+ POST and working toward the starter motor- 1. bad connection from bat post to cable terminal 2. terminal to cable 3. cable to other terminal 4. terminal to solenoid "stud" 5. Solenoid 6. connections between solenoid & starter motor. Do you have a Volt meter? If so, I can tell you have to do V drop tests and "barely" get your hands dirty.

Dar if you use firefox get the NoSquint extension. You can use it to set the font size on any page you view in firefox and it remembers your preference.

Go to Thunderbird At the top, click on "Tools" Scroll down and click on "Options" In the Options box .. Click on "Composition" Where it says: Forward Messages, click on the arrow on the side of the box and click on "Inline" Click on "OK" to exit the Options box Try forwarding again and let me know

Yep, erased the saved PW2 and tried to send an email, was offered a chance to inter PW1 and the transmission of the email went. Checking Options/security I don't find PW1 saved, I may need to click on "save password" on the next use. Thanks, this comphelp has been helpful as always.

In firefox go to tools > options > main and at the bottom haave firefox check to see if it is the default browser. I use thunderbird and links always open in the default browser which is usually firefox, but is sometimes opera and occasionally internet explorer.

Thanks Bob. That worked perfectly. Not sure why I missed that when I was digging around - a blond moment I guess.
