Thunderbird forward problem

When I forward a message the screen is blank. I get some letter that say.. erase my answer & put yours.. or add your name to the bottom of the list..

I can't do either now. I don't know how to change the settings or WHAT setting.

I hope U understand what I am trying to say..

Not sure that I understand your problem.

Do this: Go to your Thunderbird account and open an email. (old/new doesn't matter)

After you open the email .. 'Right Click' inside the email and in the drop-down box, click 'Forward'.

You should see a box in the upper right corner that says "attachment" with a little 'note' icon.

I did as U said & it is the same way.. just a blank screen.
Most people see the letter they are going to forward.

I found this when I Googled: With WLM 2011 by default when Live Mail detects photos it converts the email to what Microsoft calls a "photo email" and the pictures are no longer embedded in the email. You can turn this off by going to File : Options : Compose (tab). Uncheck "Convert messages to photo emails ...". OK your way out. Close WLM & restart.

Holy Smokes! My son was just asking me about this today too. He uses Thunderbird and Firefox also. He has been trying to find the setting to configure TB to open links in FF. Currently they only open in IE. Critical? No. Annoying? Yes. I don't use TB, but I told him I would nose around a bit. This is even better. I await the answer with great interest. DA

Dar if you use firefox get the NoSquint extension. You can use it to set the font size on any page you view in firefox and it remembers your preference.

IMAP works such that what you do in the client is reflected to the server, and vice versa. That's the point of it vs. POP3. Any messages you want to retain on the GMail server, you can't delete them from the (IMAP) GMail account tree in Thunderbird. I *never* keep long-term copies of mail on a server. It's *my* mail, I want it archived to *my* computer. IMO there's too much risk of a hacker getting access by brute-force or a server-side security flaw. My computer is more secure, less likely to be hacked, and I can back up the data. I have messages in Thunderbird that date 10 years back. And archived data MUCH older from Outlook Express.

Go to Thunderbird

At the top, click on "Tools"

Scroll down and click on "Options"

In the Options box .. Click on "Composition"

Where it says: Forward Messages, click on the arrow on the side of the box and click on "Inline"

Click on "OK" to exit the Options box

Try forwarding again and let me know
