Some fall decorated plates pics

Kind of slow here, so here are some fall goodies I made...

Shortbread leaf and acorn shaped cookies dipped in choc.

Iced brownies with choc leaves...

Fresh apples in a cookie crust with a sour cream and sugar topping. Topping is white, but looks yellow in the pic..

Oh my!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I gained about 20 pounds just looking!! You are the BEST cook...wish I were closer, but my waistline is probably thankful that I am not!!

Hi Kathleen,

Your cookies look spectacular!! I was just browsing around, looking for some good ideas for Thanksgiving decor and lo and behold, here you are with those AWESOME desserts. Where did you find the acorn and large leaf cutters? Also, please share your recipe for that amazing apple dessert, I am currently wiping drool off my chin:-)

Luvs, I'm not sure how long he'll be with me, he's 11. He will be here indefinitely as far as I can see. It's a long story, rather not post it here for public to see, but my son isn't the problem, the mother of my grandson is. So, just let me say, he is SAFER with me! I adore him, I've watched him since he was 3 weeks old, so not really much different around here except now I get up early everyday! UGH, I'm a NIGHT PERSON, but will do anything for him. Luvs, yes I decided to put out a few fall things, my kitchen & diningroom are still the rooster theme for now, I probably won't do them fall til October, since I got my last rooster a short time ago & like looking at him on my kitchen counter. We have fall all the way til we start xmas decorating, so not rushing it in my kitchen & DR yet.Besides I just may find some more goodies before then! LOL Karen, sounds like you always do great at GW, I would be there too if we didn't have such good yard sales. I did hit them a few times last winter, will probably again this winter. We never had one in our area til last year and it's in a big new building with lots of room, so maybe that will be my hunting grounds for the winter. Forgot to take pics of last weeks tablecloths I got for .50 each. One is fall colors in large checks, one is pink, red & white for Valentines, one is more neutral colors & can't even remember the 4th one, but all great condition for .50 each. I'll probably use them on the table so you'll see them eventually! Still looking for more cloth napkins in all colors. I also picked up some napkin holders, but can't remember bringing them in the house, so have to see if they are in a bag of things I missed Saturday! Hmmm, now I'm wondering where the heck they went to. Too late to go looking now, will look tomorrow!

Karen, your entryway is perfect, not overdone at all. The candles from the DS are perfect. Your stacking plates look wonderful too, Judith was right about more height on the top, but isn't she always, she's our resident EXPERT and thank goodness for her. We've all learned so much from her & each other this past year!

Betty, I found the little candleholder at GW last Fall. And DD, the plate you like was at Marshalls then too. I don't do much collecting on the dog stuff anymore. I've been collecting it for over 30 yrs now. Just occasionally I see a piece I really 'need'. LOL. I have to work on controlling my rabbits tho, no room for me to get to get really carried away like with the whippets and my Trail of Painted Pony collections. I just like too much STUFF, and always have. Even as a child, I loved collections. Thanks for the nice compliments on my house. Jeanne, all of your fall decor is wonderful. I'm always ready to see your Jewel Tea 'Autumn Leaf' Hall China collection. You have so many neat pieces. I sure wish the set I found this summer would of been priced more reasonable and I would of brought it home.LOL The 'countertop island' is so prety all decorated and lit up. Is that a decorative bread loaf pan? Love that the napkins look like they belong to your Jewel Tea china. Isn't it fun to have more turkeys, acorns, candles and Stuff to play with now? I think back and my decor was pretty lame years ago but I still loved it.haha Thanks for sharing. Punk

I am posting the apple dessert on the CF, since it is a bit OT for here. The ladies here indulge me...it was slow here, and it was fallish!

Thanks, Mary, you are very kind! I didn't do much fall decorating, no vignettes etc, so I baked some fall goodies!

Kathleen, I think Fall food trumps Fall decorating any day! All of that looks so pretty and so yummy! Do you eat all these wonderful goodies that you make? I'm with Jaybird, I think I gained a few pounds just looking at them! ;o) Luvs

Kathleen, Could you package some of your energy and mail it to me? Your goodies look delicious. What a lucky friend you have and such a labor of love. I just know your friend will be over the moon when she sees the cake. I am heading to CF right now for the apple pie recipe. I love to cook and that forum lead me to this one. Baking might must keep me busy enough so tht I am not looking for and purchasing more dishes. LOL

DH is going to scream if anymore dishes enter our home. He's already worried the cabinet in my office is going to come off of the wall from the weight:,).

Keep posting, you are an inspiration for those of us who like to cook/bake as well as decorate our tables!

Labmomma, thanks, and I hear the same thing about the shelves from the weight of the dishes! I told him to find better clips to hold them!
The apple recipe is in the WFD thread, not the one that has just started, the one before!

Kathleen - how delicious your baked goods look! That cake looks luscious! I have made cut out acorn and leaf cookies before - I used to have this really good recipe - it was a butter cookie with fresh orange zest and orange liqueur with a chocolate glaze - I've lost the recipe darn it - those cookies had a kick!

Anyway, it is refreshing to see someone who still bakes beautiful homemade goodies - very, very nice!
