Wow - your mirror frame is really nice! I have gone back and forth for weeks (using up all my available time, I might add) trying to figure out how to best spend my money to sell the house. I don't have enough time/money to do what I would do were I planning to stay in the house. But it won't work to just slap a coat of paint up there either. Anyway, I have decided that the best approach for me is to spend as little money as possible in the hall/kids bath and use most of the money for the master bath. So in the hall, I literally do not have the money for a new frame (because I am not handy and would end up paying someone to do it for me). I will add also, that they put the screws WAY in on the mirror - about 6" in, so it would end up being a very deep frame. As I was gazing upon the mirror this morning, it just occured to me that maybe the mirror industry had made something a little nicer since 1968. Or even a little round mirrored piece to use so it would blend better. I'll check the "little bin" section of Lowes/HD and see what I can find. Thanks, everyone! I love this website!

yes in fact that is how the conficker pest travels is by removalable media, it is why microsoft put out warnings to turn off the auto load features for removable media and if you are not up to date on your windows updates you definitely could have got conficker or some other infection. Always when you put a device in your usb port immediately find that drive on the pc and right click and select to run your antivirus program on it and your malwarebytes on it to make sure before you open it on that pc that it is clean, if you don't then you sure run the risk of infecting any pc you put it into. As stated get and run malwarebytes asap and go run a good online virus scan also (be sure to always update the program prior to running a full scan) FREE Online Virus Scan Make sure you have all of your windows updates too.

MAMA GOOSE! This is something I NEVER thought of but I think I love it! Never thought of attaching moving the island and making it a peninsula and attaching to the entry wall! Gotta put this on my Planner 5d program (free online!) and then do a 3D walk through. Love the way that lays out and I could get 4 chairs at the peninsula. So you have sink and dishwasher there on the peninsula right? And yes, in talking to a couple people today I have realized that moving the sink and DW is NOT that big of a deal as for some reason I thought it was. Our basement is not finished so I have been told it should not add too much cost to the project---probably under $1000 and for that it would definitely be worth it! I don't need a closet as there is one immediately on the right when you make a left turn from the foyer. I could either make that a pantry accessible from the kitchen OR....would I be able to open that up so you don't have to walk all the way around the peninsula to get into the kitchen. I'm thinking of how I run back to the bedroom or bathroom for things (again...making a left from the foyer down the hall) and then in coming back to the kitchen I'd have to go all the way around. Cabinets to the ceiling. Look at the picture below. Nothing but nothing is cheaper/faster than a few studs and drywall. When you do the "soffit", add a bead of trim, add crown, paint uppers and soffit and trim all in same satin white. You get this look. If you want glass doors? Put them left and right of sink. Look at the picture...........You don't need baskets, or anything else up there. You need it filled in and trimmed. Look directly behind those lights in the photo below. Nothing more than a flush soffit. The HOOD. No matter where the micro goes, it has to go somewhere.. Get one with a drawer, for all the reasons I said earlier. Locations of controls and no door swing issue. Kitchen Aid or Sharp. A cabinet has to be re worked to accommodate ANY. For that you need the specs to any potential purchase, of any micro wave. Pick a hood. It's either built "cabinet" with an insert......or you get a stainless hood. Either option is a huge improvement / major upgrade over the current situation atop the cook top.
