'Meet at Logees' Tentative Date and Plan

Greetings, all. Started this new thread with the hope that it'll be less confusing ....

Talked with Logees. They will only do tours on the weekends if they are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Thus, I have tentatively reserved January 22, 2006 at 9:30a.m. They break large groups into touring groups of 8. Each has their own Horticulturist who will give tours of the public greenhouses and propagation greenhouses until opening at 11 a.m. There is a TOTAL $100 charge because the Horticulturists usually don't work on Sundays. After the tour, we could head out for lunch and return for shopping if desired.

So, what do you all think? Should we

1. Go for a formal tour at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 22 followed by lunch and pay the $100 fee, or;

2. Meet on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at about 11:30 a.m. at a restaurant, have lunch, and then go en masse to Logees for shopping with no tour? If it snows, same plan would move to Sunday, January 22 with no tour.

Democracy (oops, political ;O) rules, here. Whatever the group decides is fine with me. Logees would love to give the tour to a bunch of NE gardeners, but has no problem accommodating large groups of informal shoppers.

Martie
