living room owl pics

Ok, these aren't great. He stuck around long enough for me to take batteries out of various devices to try to power up the camera. We're still wondering how he got in. We often have the doors in the back open this time of year, but we spend a lot of time in that part of the house and that part of the house has very low ceilings, so we would have noticed an owl fly by. Wondering if he might have come down the chimney, since we discovered him in the living room. Do they do that?

While we were trying to help the owl find the front door, the cat tried to bring a snake in the back door. When we diverted our attention to that issue, the yellow lab, who has always known where the front door was, decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood and had to be retrieved (he doesn't want to go anywhere, just wants to be pursued.)

I hope this does not offend anyone. My mother used to tell a joke about an owl flying into a window. A vet lived in the house and took him in. He noticed he had bad tonsils and hemroids. So he took care of both. After he revived he fly back to his tree. A month later his owl friend from the other side of the forest came to visit. He looked down at the house and said, " I wonder what's going on down there?". The first owl said Don't go down there. I did once and now I can's..t worth a hoot or hoot worth a s..t.

I think the sofa is too big for the room and for the furniture.....return it and keep looking.....you could take one of the end tables with you when you shop to see if the scale works with the table.....you might consider something long and sleek and not so fat....... I found these pics for inspiration for sofa and white rooms......the rug is minimasslist in pattern, so you might consider going that design way. Lots of legs in the room but gives a lighter look for more furnishing in the room. long low leggy with a low leggy chaise end. doable Again smaller tables with slim lined sofa with long low leggy.....your room is not really roomy so you are on the right track for mcm. Also tried to find white paint.....which is your room color choice?

It's so cute!
There's got to be a Sitcom in there somewhere. Tune in for "Wild in Miami". No that wouldn't work. People would think it's the Kardasions(sp)

It really was quite a wild afternoon. Isn't he adorable. He was only about eight inches long, which is apparently normal for them. And I loved how angry he looked _ like how dare you take a picture of me while I'm trying to figure out how to get out of your house?

Meanwhile, as much as the pets added to the problems, I don't think any of them noticed the rather big bird flying around the house. I guess all my pets are focused on lizards and mice and other floor-dwelling critters.

He's a darling little red phase screechie! I'm so glad he wasn't hurt in the ordeal. You done good!!

He does look pretty unhappy in that second pic doesn't he! While it's not good that he got into your house I think your lucky to have gotten such a good look at an owl. Usually owls are heard but not seen.

Your cat trying to bring a snake into the house brings back memories of when my oldest cat was young and constantly trying to present snakes to my mom who really doesn't like snakes.

Very funny about the other animals! Thanks for posting these photos, they are charming. I love owls and always try to see them at night when I hear them, but they are pretty hard to find.

Very nice pictures...and too funny! I am glad your pets didn't notice him/her and it's good he/she didn't get hurt flying around in your house. Very cool.
