Mom made the ketchup,worchester, brown sugar sauce all the time back in the sixties and seventies. Love it and still do. Same goes for the coke/dr. pepper combo. My favorite bottle sauce is Head Country now and I've tried many over the years. Bone suckin', Bulls Eye, and many otheres. Hey, it is a matter of taste after all. Ann, I haven't had that TBQ in several years now. I think it was you and or Lorijean that posted that recipe. I've never made the recipe but would love a link to were I could order some more again. (lost it) My group loved it....very different but good all the same. Ina Garten has a good one too that I've made and used. I can post the recipe if anyone wants it. It is a combo of everthing if you know what I mean or watch Ina. : ) Not to forget Sue's Roadhouse ribs recipe and her oven method for ribs...another winner in my books. Then there is the Dinsaur BBQ Sauce bottles and recipes from a swap years ago. I LOVE BBQ!! All of them from KC to Memphis/Texas and yes, Oklahoma! Every year I plan what cookies I'll make for the Christmas season. I'd write the grocery list and buy the ingredients and never wrote done which recipe I wanted. Now I copy the recipe and make notes on the grocery list. I've also been known to lose the list after leaving the store. LOL

Dear Gary... I read your request a few years ago, and was wondering if you ever found the original Stickney's BBQ sauce recipe? Stickney's was a staple in my family's life, all the way through the early 80's until they shut down San Jose's Stickney's on Steven's Creek...I always ordered the hot pork sammies and dipped the fries in that OMG sauce! lol..The Chicken Noodle Soup and mile high strawberry pies were off the charts too..The closest I've come to getting that original taste, is Heinz 57 BBQ sauce with honey...I miss my childhood haunts...Santa's Village & Frontier Village as well! And here's the other Bob Gibson's, lilliepad, in detail Big Bob Gibson's Hickory-Smoked Chicken 1 cup mayonnaise 1 cup apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 1/2 tablespoons cracked black pepper 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, finely ground 1/4 teaspoon cayenne 1 whole chicken, cut in half Finely ground kosher salt and ground black pepper 1/2 cup vegetable oil To prepare the sauce: Combine all the first six ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Place in an airtight container or bottle and refrigerate until you're ready to use. Keeps up to 4 days. To prepare the chicken: Wash the chicken and season it liberally with salt and pepper. Smoke over hot coals and hickory wood at 300 to 350 degrees for 3 to 4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 170 degrees. Halfway through the smoking process, baste the chicken with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper once more. After you take the chicken off the pit, immediately place it in the bowl of white sauce, turning the chicken to coat evenly. Place the chicken on a cake rack and allow it to rest for a few minutes prior to serving. Discard any sauce that you've used for coating chicken. Serves 2 to 4
