Please Review - Low Temp Pasteurization

Hello all!

I've been water processing my pickles and I've always hated that they never turned out quite crisp enough. This year I've thought about trying low temperature pasteurization where you keep the temp between 180-185 degrees for 30 minutes. If you have done this before, please tell me (and us) how it turned out.

I plan on doing several pickle recipes from "The Joy of Pickling" and the author suggests either a water-bath process or the low temp pasteurization - either being okay. I just want to do the one that gives the best pickles!
