Peach Tree Drying Out; Leaves and Fruit Turning Yellow

billbrandi

My (remaining) peach tree, full of fruit, suddenly has gotten a dried out look, the leaves and fruit turning yellow. It has been in the ground for 6 years and gets adequate water. I did give it a full soaking, letting the water run on it slowly for several hours. Fertilizer has been adequate-really doing nothing new to it. No trunk damage-bark looks okay-just the leaves and fruit are dried out. This has taken place within the space of a week to 10 days.

Any thoughts on what might be going on here? I don't want to lose this tree. I had two in the yard, including this one. The other was cracked in half earlier this spring when those sudden storms blew through.
