Chris, NICE job!!! Can you take a pic of the whole tree? Anirbn, My mom fell and hurt herself badly after she got out from a week in the hospital, so I totally forgot too. My bad. It started getting lighter in coloring..It was loosing it's vivid green look because the temps have gotten so cold. But I stuck it in the house and it seems to be coloring up again/. I will take a pic tomorrow..) I have been trying to grow it Bonsai style since I don't need it to be big and take up room. So it's pretty small..

I realize it's a vague statement. I mean it has a more delicate look in an aesthetic sense. It's not a big heavy clumsy look. The actual feel is very solid with good workmanship. Does that make sense? Maybe a comparison would be, it looks like a ballet dancer as opposed to a country milkmaid (but they both have the strength to do what they do). By the burner issue, I mean, that I find it so much easier to wipe clean the spatter on a glass cooktop than oil and grease spatters on burner grates. I have had a beautiful viking gas cooktop in another house and I hated lifting and cleaning the heavy grates every time I used the cooktop. I didn't mean that the propane creates any issues or dirt. Please let me know what you think after seeing it.

I get nervous when I start running low on toasted sesame oil! Because I have problems finding it & usually when I do find it, it's a teeny bottle and crazy priced. When we were in Vegas, I picked up two 16 oz. containers at that Asian supermkt chain out west at a great 'on sale' price even. Gave one of them to my son and then started getting nervous because I didn't have a back-up btl! As luck would have it, I found another 16 oz container at my local Aldi, of all places. Last one on the shelf so I snapped it up and can relax for a while. I do keep all of them stored in the refrigerator because I've read that sesame oil isn't very shelf stable. Question...does the non-toasted sesame oil have a good flavor? How does the flavor compare to toasted? I found the non-toasted sesame oil at an Asian store in Wausau but didn't buy it....because the toasted is a critical ingredient in several dishes that I make....and that I make when I have a hankering for 'that' flavor, IYKWIM! Didn't want to chance it.

My husband in an attempt to cut all the overgrown trees and bushes around our Magnolia tree, cut the split trunk of the Magnolia which was 4" in diameter because the Y slit was only a foot off the ground. He thought it was another tree competing with the Magnolia. So in trying to give it better light and growing conditions, he cut it in 1/2 with the chainsaw. Boo Hoo! That is one of the worst mistakes, but there were many others. He's always hacking something by mistake. He also pruned my lilac's which took many years to grow that big. So now, good luck smelling any of them. I have to climb on a ladder to see or smell them, because he trimmed the lower branches. UGH!!! The great news is that Brugmansia's are super fast growers and with ample water and plant food they can grow from seedling to flowering in one season. I wish I can say the same for Magnolias and Lilacs. Sigh!
