best white hybrid tea or floribunda rose
Comments (35)Moodyblue. In response to your 'unfragrant' Princess Of Wales rose which incidentally looks gorgeous, there is another similar one that does have a wonderful fragrance. That is A Whiter Shade Of Pale. Although it opens with a blush center that fades to pure white within 2 days.It withstands rain very well without any sign of spoiling. Unfortunately it's only available in the UK at present. This is a photo I took recently after planting in March. Comments (24)Hey, I live in Monmouth, Oregon near the state capital, Salem. Currently, I have Julia Child, Elina, and Easy Going. Initially, I was told that Elina does not like wet weather, but I persisted and she does get some bs, but I am able to control it. It is more of a pale, pale yellow almost cream colored. Has no fragrance but the blooms are large and last a while. I have a Veteran's Honor and make bouquets with the two as the blooms are a similar size and last a long time in the vase. Julia Child is wonderful. Very little disease, lovely fragrant (spicy) blooms and 3 to 4 feet tall. A very good yellow. After getting Livin' Easy and loving it, I decided to get its sport, Easy Going, and have been very happy with it. It is also disease resistant, medium fragrance, nice rich color. Stay away from Sunsprite, horrible disease magnet and the blooms blow in one day. Julia Child seems to fit the bill. Bon Appetit! CJ...See MoreBest HT orange, apricot, yellow blends
Comments (15)I adore my Honeysweet. Most unusual color, no blackspot for me, blooms lots. Its a Buck rose and tough. One of my favorite apricots is the Austin Carding Mill. I understand Chamblees will be carrying that soon own root - I plan to get several. I adore Fragrant Apricot [Roses Unlimited]. I had Belle Epoque a while back but wasn't that crazy about the color. When it died, I wasn't interested in replacing it, but that was just my opinion - you might love it. I adore apricots and love the pure, clear color such as Carding Mill, Tamora, Just Joey. If I ever ran across a good plant of Just Joey I would get it - have seen photos of huge blooms, but understand the bush is gangly. The blooms would make up for it...........See MoreNeed suggestions for a disease resistant, hardy yellow shrub rose
Comments (42)Prairie Harvest is a nice yellow that will die back to the ground and come back vigorously for me every year. No disease, but the thrips love it. In the sun, it will fade to a chalky whitish light yellow. There is a new yellow knockout this year, but I don't know much about it. No, I'm not talking about Carefree Sunshine. Molineau is a nice yellow that nicely survives my Chicago winter with protection. A good bloomer, with nice fragrance Topaz Jewel gets BS and is not as hardy as other Rugosas, but survives in my garden with no protection. Last year, I had to cut it almost to the ground, though. TJ grows at akward angles, so is best to grow in a closely planted group. Perdita is pink in my garden. Not at all yellow for me. RU sells a yellow sport of Tamora called Lovely Child that has worked well in my garden. Here's a pic Julia Child is floppy. Strike it Rich isn't really yellow. Think Cantalope. I grew it this year and really like it. Not much fragrance though. I have grown Livin Easy and like it a lot, so Easy Going should be a good one. Lemon Spice is my favorite Yellow. I protect it and spray it, so it probably doesn't fit your criteria. But, if you want a non stop bloom machine for cutting and sniffing, Lemon Spice is the answer. Gets kind of tall and lanky. Jude the Obscure is winter hardy for me with minimal protection, but not really yellow. Apricot. Great smeller, though. The only yellow that I have that is disease resistant w/o spraying is Prairie Harvest. Al...See Morethe_bustopher z6 MO
