Lets talk about 'Mrs. Herbert Stevens'

Could someone please tell me the mature height of the regular form of 'Mrs. Herbert Stevens'? I love Tea class roses best, but the white Teas I've grown have defoliated from powdery mildew.

I've admired the climbing form of 'Mrs. Herbert Stevens' which is grown as a free-standing plant at the Berkeley Botanical garden. That plant is c. 8 feet tall by nearly as wide, which is a bit too large for my purposes.

"Mrs.Herbert Stevens" has blossoms that are more similar to any Tea class rose, that I've seen, particularly in their delicacy of petal substance and shape. It also has a fair share of the seductive Tea fragrance I crave.

It is one of only a few extant H.T.s that had a Tea parent, and because of that, I would consider "Mrs Herbert Stevens" as being a Tea hybrid, being bred from the exquisite 'Niphetos', which I can't grow in our cool coastal garden, near San Francisco.

Thanks for all your advice,

Luxrosa
