I can't say much about the top seedlings, but the bottom one looks like a maple. The red petiole on the leaf makes me think red maple, Acer rubrum. However, I'm not very familiar with the various ornamental maple species that are planted in landscapes, which it could be a seedling of. I'd recommend identifying any tree of seed bearing age around your yard and your neighbors' yards to see what could have dropped seed in the fall.

Pineresin I forgot about the opposite leaves but a picture of the wisteria pods look the same as the pods that were on the tree. Lucy I came to the same conclusion. Seagrapes I'll do a search for that tree. It was out in the open by the pool and I have a window with afternoon sun at work and a spray bottle. Any oyher ideas Paul

Could be. Thanks! I'll dig it up and pot it until I know for sure. It's growing in a pathway now. I thought it might be a tree of some kind. No cleomes around here that I've ever seen so that little birdie must have traveled quite a way after eating. Edited: I've been searching through cleome pictures and can't find any with leaves like this. It's just going to have to grow some and then I'll post another picture if needed. I watered a scarlet buckeye tonight and noticed the leaves are fairly similar, but not with the palmate leaves.

Having photos from the side on the tree seedlings might help to show if branching is opposite or alternate 2.seems to be sprouting compound leaves at the base so perhaps a hickory 3 looks like a sunflower 4 looks like another hickory 5 might be a birch if it is woody
