Pickering Nurseries, I bought 2 Tamora 's from them last year.
It's in Canada.

Except that Pickering buds onto R. multiflora, and their shipping season ended weeks ago. Not sure who offers these budded onto Dr. Huey except David Austin in Texas, and I expect their shipping season ended a while ago also.

I just got some bare roots from DA...but I just checked and both of those are out of stock....

Have you tried Wayside? I know I got my Tamora from them, and I think they are grafted onto Dr. Huey.

Rob, I checked and S&W Roses in Nashville carries both of them potted, grown on Dr. Huey, but they're out of stock acc to the website. But you might email them and see when they'll have more. I've only gotten bareroots from them before, but they're very healthy. I know they graft onto Dr. H because I asked once. Gean

Maybe this is kind of dumb, but if you want them that badly, why can't you put in bare root and give them good winter protection? Next best would be to pot them up and hold them over the winter, you would know the best place.

The reason I ask is I planted 6 healthy bare root from J&P in mid April, here it is June 21 (2 months), and most have grown much taller and bushy and blooming their heads off. One isn't doing so well but I'll deal with it.

Bare root should have time to establish by the end of September if you get right on it and with shipping in the heat may even stand a better chance. You could get two of both for added insurance :-). That's kind of what I do.

But what do I know?

One place in Petaluma has them potted but it said pickup only (I think), $30.95 is pretty steep, and their primary business is wholesale.

I found this website called Star® Roses. They say they grow it and up at the top left there is a link where to purchase. I clicked on it and put just WI in the finder and it came up with a whole lot of nurseries in WI along with their addresses and telephone numbers. That was just for Ambridge.

I did the advanced search on google put .com in the domain and ambridge rose in exact phrase, came up on the 6th page of the results, there are a lot more pages to sift through, some irrelevant or just photos.

You might try the same for Tamora or be willing to plow through more of the results. It gets tedious.

My Austins do so much better on 'Dr. Huey'. I have about 5 that are own root, and 12 that are on 'Multiflora' and all of them have been stagnating at about 14" tall for nearly 3 years while their 80 or so counterparts on DH are 4' and 5' tall. All my other roses from Pickering on MF are old roses and are doing much better than the Austins on MF. 'William Lobb' and 'John Cabot' are both 5-1/2' tall and only one year old. I think the Austins just take longer to get established on MF and I'm getting impatient because it's making my garden look awkward.

I've been to the Star Roses website nursery directory. While it's a great idea, to be effective it would have to be updated on a regular basis. Only one of the nurseries on that list still carries Austin roses. The others have not carried them for at least 2 years. I visit most of them regularly.
