I avoided GW for a long time because I couldn't figure out how to post a picture. I am absolutely not a techie so this is a very simple way to post pics. There may be another method but this works for me. First, you must go to www.photobucket.com and open an account. This is free. Second, upload your photo to your Photobucket account (very easy). Third, once you have uploaded photo, copy the html tag found conveniently below the picture and paste it into your GardenWeb message.

You can also post phots in the gallery here.
Go back to the list of messages on this forum, look up and to the right, and you will see GALLERY in blue/ purple.
Click that.
New message.
Write your title and description,
click preview
on the next page scroll down and look for the word browse.
Click BROWSE
It will link to your computer picture folder.
Choose your photo (you will have had to compress it or resize it beforehand to take it down to 63kb (I think)
Click ADD or send
Wait while it does it- may take a while.
Once the photo is there, you can tell peoepl here to go and have a look.

Damp I'm just getting around to checking back in here on the GW site. I got a bit sidetracked. I think I'll try your suggestion as it is somethig I'm famliar with already. OK. Just worked it out.
Open your photo in photobucket.
Copy the URL from address line and paste it here.

Then in front of it add this, but change the ( to

(IMG src="your url")

so it will look like this:

Actually I was trying to post a picture with the test; it just didn't work. I've never understood how to post pictures before either.

For photos to show directly on the page, write out your line like this:

So remove the spaces when you're ready to try it out.

Try it out!

In Photobucket, don't open your photo fully. In the album, click on the words "HTML tag" beneath the photo and beside the actual link. It will pop up a little message "Copied". Then, right here in the body of the message after typing any message or part of a message, press Control and "v" which will paste the address link in. You can then type more message below, paste in any other number of links and away you go.
