I can't stop the jade tree leaf drop! Help! (pictures inside)
Comments (38)carrieabalch This thread has a posted comment that reaches seven years ago prior to your post Your northern corner of the US would allow the blinds to be open during the day the lack of winter rain fall from out side could be replaced with tap water that's been allowed to set at room temp for 24 hours or more. ummmmm I don't know either but how does anyone get rain water from the outside to three floors up inside? Yes green is good but it is a bit on the stringy side sparse, thin and slightly on the side of etiolated. I imagine some pruning of your jades weaker growth and cutting would be in order, as to where you'll find some ideas as to where or what to cut could be a little difficult to look up after all the other soil mixing and idea searching you'll be doing. mind if I use your pic ? Start with the red lines and cut away as best as you can if you happen to find some info on your relentless 1000's and 1000's of jade threads You may also want to attempt to root the cutting as as well which also has 1000's and 1000's of searchable info on how to do as well. Side note which has very very little to do with any of your 10000's of searching information results The pot is a bit to big....See Morehelp, I need a kick in the........errr, rear!
Comments (19)luvs ... I really love the mantle decor...that vase is so perfect for St.P's ...and your florals!...and the 2 little Irish guys are cute! That cabbage plate stands on it's own in your next vignette...suggestion for the jar...how about maybe simplifying it by taking out the grassy stuff...and adding white sand about 2/3rd's full...then maybe some green in there...like a few half marbles lying on top of the sand...or a pc of jewelry like a brooch..or seashells?...and leaving your beautiful green & white (or cream?) bow ...all to co-ordinate with your beautiful, beautiful cabbage plate. Or if you don't like the white/creamy sand, maybe add food coloring & let it dry first before putting in jar? Just brainstorming.....LOL! Jeanne S....See MoreHelp! Comments (13)I did follow your instructions and used photo bucket and did manage to post some photos last night. I couldn't figure out how to get a link to my entire album on photo bucket, though. I did see how to get the links for each individual photo. Buel- the instructions I was having trouble with were the ones at the bottom of the forum page: "instructions how to use this forum" and its associated linked help pages. I realize that the link you posted for me above, to your "new to this forum" message post, does have good instructions on how to post photos. Sorry, I had read that post a few weeks ago, and didn't remember there was anything about posting photos in it. Your instructions are clear. Thanks again....See MoreCan't seem to post pictures with Photobucket
Comments (10)awww, thanks so much. we ended up moving because someone came along and offered us a boat load of money for the house - we didn't have to put it on the market, just sold it direct to them. The advantage to me, was to be able to buy a house with a better floorplan. The other house had a lot of square footage on the first floor, but we spend all of our time squeezed into the tiny family room off the kitchen and never used the rest of the space AND had with all that space, no dining room which was a bummer. On the 2nd floor we had only 2 bedrooms and a small room which was supposed to be the laundry room. Our plans had been to build on another bedroom on the second floor and move the laundry upstairs - the space on the first floor where the laundry was would become a dining room. BUT, when these people came along and wanted the house we figured we'd save ourselves the agony of another enormous renovation. The new house literally only needs a kitchen. Everything else is fantastic. Now my son doesn't have his bedroom in a tiny laundry room and can have all his toys out in his bedroom and play to his hearts delight (listening to him play and seeing his amazing creations with his blocks and trucks is the BEST part of the new house). I can't wait to do over the kitchen. I am really excited about it. I wouldn't have wanted to buy a house with the kitchen "done"... I am sure they wouldn't have been as TKO as I am!!! I don't think it will be another white kitchen. Still thinking about what to do and working on the floorplan. Cannot wait to get rid of the 24" soffits and laminate counters and the creaky old metal cabinets, and mostly the refrigerate in another room!!! (I do love having wall ovens though)...See Morebicyclegirl1
