5/20 Survivor Finale

Tonight's the night! There are 5 left: Aubry. Tiffany, Rizo, Jonathan and Joe. I can make a case for anyone winning except Joe. Yes, everyone likes Joe, but he has done nothing worthy of the title of Sole Survivor, except a couple of immunity wins. No strategy, no leadership. Of course, who sits in the final 3 all depends on who wins immunity. We know that Rizo's idol will send him to the final 4, which is where he lost last time, making fire. There's some thought that Tiffany will go first, barring an immunity win, because she was out on the Cirie vote last week.

The finale will be live, but Jeff has said in interviews that it won't be the same old format, with reunion interviews scattered through the show. And you may have to stay up late to get the result of the Sia Award for Fan Favorite, which might come late in the 3 hour show.

So get a nap in today so you'll stay awake tonight!

Just not Rizo. He irritates me. Every time I say someone is my favorite, they lose, so Im not saying a thing.

"I would like to see it get back to how it was in the beginning. " Nooooooooooooooooooo. Remember when they ate ALL that gross stuff in food challenges? It was awful!!!!!! The dead bird that was almost ready to hatch....oh...and the BIG bug larvae.....nasty.....nasty.....nasty! No one should be falling face first into a fire and have to have skin grafts on his hands. I think it was too much to ask that people hurt themselves for a show. Now they have bandaids....did you notice? They don't show every little boo boo and owie. Much better.

i didn 't want to say too much but i am surprised Gabler won. i really thought Cassidy would win, she battled back so many times, especialy in the beginning of the show. i thought for sure she would be voted out at least twice. Owen, no votes? what a selfless act to donate all the $$!! i want it to go back to just 2 finalists, the third person never gets any votes. i just don't think you need 3 finalists, make it more competitive!! if Jesse would have beat Gabler in fire, then i think he would have won, he was so close! great season as usual! has there been a bad season?????? Love Survivor!!!!

Austin and Dee are either not together or pretending not to be. Really, for the number of times she betrayed him for Julie and then used it to knock him down at the finale, she should start a romance with Julie. What was up with Kaleb yelling "Jake!" when he went in to vote? I thought he was announcing that he was voting for Jake but then he voted for Dee. There was a documentary on the new dig at Pompeii on PBS at 10pm., so I only watched a half hour of TAR. However, I was able to switch over to TAR just as Cesar and Ricky ran up to the mat. ha I think I saw Amber and Vinnie already at the final amongst the other past contestants. How did that happen? I must have missed them being eliminated at some point - last week?

I only like Tiff. 100% agree about Joe. He only stood out in his first season by supporting the girl with autism.

At least Cirie won the Fan Favorite.

I wonder if they shoot the whole season, know who's going to win, and then edit the segments to fool us all.

Never would have thought Aubry would win. I figured she was riding on others coattails and would be voted out when they didnt need her anymore. I love that she practiced the rolling ball thing. That sure paid off.

I was rooting for Jonathan, but as long as it wasnt Rizo, Im okay with it.

Im glad Cirie was recognized.

I too was rooting for Jonathan and then Joe. I loved the firemaking and watching cocky Rizo fail. He was too big for his britches. Glad Cirie got her prize. I hope some of them come back again(not Rizo) and next season already finished looks good. These people had to wait ONE year to find out the winner. I like it when they reveal in the jungle, and hope it goes back to that.

I have to say that the LIVE finale mistakes were funny. Except for losing audio. I was shocked that Aubry came out on top but she did play the middle and it seems they liked her.

I will say that as someone who has never missed a season - Did not like this format. It made the game more random and less strategic. The luck of the draw is fun but I think they may have took it too far. Imagine being on Survivor and having to vote yourself off? It borders on stupid to me. But I’m just a fan so what do I know? We threw 2 votes to Cirie in his house since she will never be taken to the final 3. Glad she won it. It is still fun and entertaining all these years later.

Nice quote from Joe, he says he's never had his torch snuffed, and he feels like he has won. Everyone should have his attitude. I also heard that Jonathan was a sore loser.
