Survivor 43 Finale is tonight

Three hours of Survivor. If you're recording it, remember that the winner is usually announced well into the third hour, which used to be a 'reunion' show, but the last few seasons, they've been reading the votes on the island, right after voting.

The 5 people still standing are Karla, Cassidy, Jesse, Gabler and Owen. I thought Cody was going to win before that amazing blindside last week. My vote goes to Jesse right now, unless the others deem him too big a threat. After last season, when MaryAnne wowed the jury during final TC, I no longer count anyone out!

i didn 't want to say too much but i am surprised Gabler won. i really thought Cassidy would win, she battled back so many times, especialy in the beginning of the show. i thought for sure she would be voted out at least twice. Owen, no votes?

what a selfless act to donate all the $$!!

i want it to go back to just 2 finalists, the third person never gets any votes. i just don't think you need 3 finalists, make it more competitive!!

if Jesse would have beat Gabler in fire, then i think he would have won, he was so close!

great season as usual!

I couldn't understand why the underdogs never tried to split up Cody and Jesse. They were too focused on other pairs like Karla and Cassidy I guess. Or maybe Jesse was not viewed as a player who could win it all by the others. He hasn't won any challenges or found any idols.

I thought they announced the winner at the end of the second hour or beginning of the third. I didn't stay up to see the previews of next season last time so I'm not sure what they do in the third hour now that they don't have a live audience.

There's been a lot of time creep into the third hour. at least 15 minutes, I think. The rest of the time, they bring in champagne and pizza and talk with the jury. No big studio audiences any more.

Now, it all depends on who wins immunity. Jesse has one idol that can only be used in first TC tonight.

The reason I mentioned Dan as a possible winner is because they have given him almost NO air time during the whole season. The only thing they have shown is bits and pieces of "Poor worthless gimpy Dan!" Many of them talked about keeping Na to take to the end, but did anyone mention Dan to take to the end. There is a "LOT" that goes on that we never see. They usually "blindsight" us with the editing. If the winner is obvious, they would lose viewers. From what we have seen, Dan is less "deserving" (although I think anyone who makes it to the end IS deserving) then some of the others. For that matter Jane looked very deserving, until last week! I should be very interesting! I'm preparing our pizza!

In the past, hidden idols could be used through the fourth from last council, so with six or five people. I like Tasha but she hasn't played the best social game. I like how Kelley hides in plain sight. They keep looking at her as if she were a weak girl, even though she's shown time and again that she's playing on all levels. In many ways, I think she's earned it the most, though none of them would bother me as winners. I like Spencer, but he's so clueless! I could root for Keith because he's just on a different level--while he sounds clueless, I think he's just out to make the best of things and get that million dollars, and he's playing but not making a big deal of it. Jeremy seems like a really good guy, but while his head is in the game, I don't think he's been seen playing it so much as existing in it. I have a soft spot in my heart for Kimmie. She seems to be on a different planet, and more surviving than playing. So I guess I'm rooting for Kelley to win, and maybe Keith as an alternative. But I wouldn't mind any of them. They did manage, in the end, to cut out all the drama. :)

"I would like to see it get back to how it was in the beginning. " Nooooooooooooooooooo. Remember when they ate ALL that gross stuff in food challenges? It was awful!!!!!! The dead bird that was almost ready to hatch....oh...and the BIG bug larvae.....nasty.....nasty.....nasty! No one should be falling face first into a fire and have to have skin grafts on his hands. I think it was too much to ask that people hurt themselves for a show. Now they have bandaids....did you notice? They don't show every little boo boo and owie. Much better.

Well, I'm sorry my pick Elaine didn't win, but glad Noura didn't either. In my opinion, Dean should have won. Seems like most votes were based on the social aspect only. My daughter is the new family champion because she picked Tommy to win, grrrrr! I can only strongly hope that Sandra is the first to go, then Boston Rob. I'm so glad Elaine and Janet got money, that was awesome. Too bad batsh!t crazy Noura got anything. Another good reason to not take someone like her to the end, they get rewarded way more than the jury. Diane nj, totally agree, I hope I never see or hear Karishma again!

I didnt realize it is the finale. one thing i liked about the finale befora a live audience was how different everyone looked, all cleaned up and dressed nicely.

Not sure who Im rooting for. i cant warm up to Cassidy. Ill say Owen, but i am often surprised.

I think they’ll keep Gabler as well, thinking he’ll loose…but I think there’s a possibility he’ll win, imo. I don’t think they show enough of the social interactions. Jesse has played a pretty good game, I think. He could win as well because of that…🤔

He mentioned his intentions several times during the show, so i guess the producers knew. I always felt he was a darkhorse. Nice to see someone older win, although i found him irritating at times.

I wanted a woman to win and Cass was fierce and won three immunities. I liked Owen too but Gabler was a dark horse and was apparently liked more than I thought. But he seems kind and the money will be used for good .

I guess they want it to be unpredictable, so don’t really show too much of the social interactions…? I was surprised when Owen said he was “ sitting at the table with my dear friend Cassidy”… I had no idea Cassidy was his dear friend.

I also wanted a woman to win...and Cass was a GREAT competitior. So....I'm disappointed. Then Gabler said he'd donate the money to VA help....now THAT was a GREAT moment! It was a really good season.
