One of the first shots taken with my first digital camera from 9/19/2004. Hard to believe it was 20 years ago... I remember being there like it was yesterday.

Comments (34)Eld, the contents of the time capsule provoked lots of joy and fun. My grandson was awed by the expression of love and thoughtfulness that each item signified. 9-11 had occurred just weeks before so many of the items reflected the patriotism and cohesiveness of the nation at that time. There were newspaper clippings, magazines like Time and Newsweek as well as the US flag, people magazine with Alicia Keys- artist of the year on the cover and toy advertisements. Some guests took the time to create collages of family photos. Some selections became iconic symbols of the time, Harry Potter made an appearance in a copy of the first book, his cousins favorite at the time, Star Wars Pez dispenser of Boba Fett, Clippings about Carl Ripkin, a floppy disc and hard disc. Also included was a $2 bill. All the items were accompanied by hand written notes. His grandparents and his parents wrote letters. last yearThese are stairs i have used since i was a little girl holding my mothers hand. They are at the back of a department store that was closed and turned into a fancy gym. I took a picture in 2014 right before they closed.

My oldest digital pictures went off into the ether with an old computer. The oldest I have now are from 2012. These two Sri Lankan girls were being taken home from school by their parents. They lived on an island and the family cutivated cinnamon.
