Anything interesting to do with a big lot of green beans?

last year

I got this enormous bag of lovely green beans from the farm. My usual is raw or lightly steamed. Boring. They're lovely, but I'd like to do something tempting with them. (NOT mushroom soup casserole, thanks!)

I keep thinknig of something custardy, which looks pretty in my head, but when I think about how it would taste, it sounds pretty awful. Then I think if one blendered the beans, and that sounds totally disrespectful to these lovely beans, as does soup. I mean, green bean and delicata squash sound sounds delicious (and like it might turn BS brown if you blink twice, which is terrible), so just no. Roasted sounds delicious, but I don't know how to do it withiout making them soggy. Pan fried? Air fried? Tempura is wonderful but I have neither the energy nor skill to go there, and it's way too many beans for that. I need something while will be okay leftover.

I suppose I'll just steam them after all the dithering, but you all often have brilliant ideas, and other times spark an idea in me, so help! Please. :)
