^^^ My contractor in the process of removing a buried heating oil tank from our yard last summer. It dated back to the 1980s and thankfully soil tests showed no leakage nor soil contamination. We switched from an oil heat furnace to a heat pump and am glad that time bomb was properly disposed. Every home in our neighborhood is on well water and why a previous owner would bury an oil tank is beyond me.
