Today is Ukrainian Easter.

Yes this is an art installation at a street fair in New Bedford Massachusetts. Those fluttery silvery things made a wonderful sound in the breeze.

This is the orchid my nieces gave me last October. It had been in my sister's room at a nursing facility and when she passed they gave it to me. I was so thrilled to see it blooming this second time!!

My mother-in-law used to paint and wax eggs every year to give out at Easter. 💕

She always used real eggs and she had a story for every design. The eggs were raw and would eventually dry out and eventually crack so you would just toss them out.

My sister-in-law still paints them. She blows the eggs out but they are very fragile. She also bakes a braided bread (kolach)?, with coloured (usually blue eggs) that looks like a birds nest.

I’ve never thought of taking a picture of any of this. ☹️

Roxsol, put a note on your calendar. I would love to see a picture of the kolach with eggs!! What a great idea!!

Floral love the Blues! What kind of a bush is that? I can't tell from the picture and not very good at guessing anyway. Thank you :-).
